NFL Futures: Best AFC South Division Prop Bet

The Houston Texans have won this division in each of C.J. Stroud’s first two seasons in the NFL, and I expect them to three-peat next season. The AFC South is arguably the weakest division in football, but the Houston Texans are the exception. They beat the Chargers in the Wild Card round of last year’s playoffs before losing a close one in Arrowhead to the Chiefs in the Divisional round. The other three teams in the division have a lot of work to do to close the gap, combining for a record of 15-36 a year ago. Now, let’s take a look at the odds to win the division for the 2025/26 season on DraftKings Sportsbook.

AFC South Winner Odds

The NFL is a quarterback-driven league, and only one team in this division has a proven signalcaller. There are still question marks surrounding Trevor Lawrence in Jacksonville, there are MAJOR question marks about Anthony Richardson in Indianapolis, and Tennessee’s Cam Ward has yet to take a snap in the league.

The Texans already have an elite offense, but still went ahead and added two receivers, an offensive tackle and a running back in the first four rounds of the 2025 NFL draft. On the other side of the ball, Houston did not add any notable names, however, they retained most of the 10th-best scoring defense from a year ago.

To get the Texans at plus money here feels like a win, and any other team winning this division would feel like a surprise. The Jaguars are probably the biggest competition with the addition of Travis Hunter on both sides of the ball, but he’s another rookie who still has to prove himself on the biggest stage. This feels like Houston’s division to lose, but this roster will have their eyes set on much more than winning the AFC South.
