UPDATE: The Yankees and Angels are once again in a delay.
At the time of the stoppage, the Yankees were batting in the bottom of the eighth inning. Aaron Judge started the inning with a double and Giancarlo Staton had walked — but was then pinch-run for by Jasson Dominguez. As it is past the fifth inning, and with New York winning, there is a chance that this game is called. Stay tuned for additional details.

If you haven’t noticed, it’s been raining quite a bit in the northeast this week. It weather wasn’t bad enough that the Yankees decided to delay their start time against the Angels this afternoon, but after an inning and a half, the grounds crew was forced to bring out the tarp in the Bronx.
At the time of the delay, Los Angeles was leading 2-1, thanks to solo home runs from Mike Trout in the first inning and Jo Adell in the second. Trout’s was his 12th of the season and the first hit of his career in nine at-bats against Carlos Rodon.
Despite the deficit, New York are still -228 favorites on the moneyline this afternoon on the DraftKings Sportsbook. However, the Yankees are looking to avoid getting swept, as they’ve lost all three prior contest in this series to the Angels and six in a row overall.
