This week’s Travelers Championship is the final Signature Event of the 2025 PGA TOUR season and the pros are back at TPC River Highlands for another big week. It’s a limited field with just 72 players in a no-cut event, so it should be a great week of golf. If you’re looking to build your bankroll this week, one way to do so is by checking out the cash game or double-up contests on DraftKings. My top fantasy golf cash game picks this week are Xander Schauffele ($10,800), Tony Finau ($7,700) and Brian Harman ($7,200).

The pivot plays for tournament lineups are more aggressive, while these three picks are generally safer with higher floors and lower risk. The picks in this post typically have much higher ownership than my pivot plays, but they are good plays for contests where your lineup being unique is less important. Think of cash game picks as laying back and playing a par 5 as it was designed with three shots before reaching the green, looking for a solid birdie. Tournament picks are going driver off the deck to try to reach the green in two — more reward if it works, but much more risk, as well.
Just to be sure we’re all using the same terms, “cash games” are contests that pay out to about the top half of entries. Typically, they are in the 50/50s & Double Ups or Head-to-Head sections of the DraftKings lobby. In this format, it’s important to minimize risk and raise the floor of your entry rather than focusing too much on the ceiling.

Xander Schauffele ($10,800)
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that Scottie Scheffler ($13,300) is a strong play this week. He’s the defending champion and was playing out of his mind before slipping up a little last week at the U.S. Open. He did the same thing last year before storming back to win the Travelers, but if you want a lower-cost option to make the rest of your roster work better and have more balance, Schauffele is a great alternative to consider.
He comes into the event with a great track record on the course, with five top-20 finishes in his six career appearances at TPC River Highlands. He won the event in 2022 and returned with T19 and T13 finishes in the last two years. He has an exceptional 66.2 scoring average over his last 20 rounds at this track and has shown that he can go low in a hurry.
After a rib injury cost him some time earlier this season, Schauffele has found his form with a T28 or better in seven straight events. He ranks in the top eight in this strong field in Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green and Total Strokes Gained over his last 24 rounds.
Last week, Schauffele outplayed Scheffler and finished T12 after a strong -1 on Sunday. He may not quite match Scheffler’s win equity and consistency, but the $2,500 in savings is very significant to shore up the rest of your roster.
Tony Finau ($7,700)
Finau is a great play under $8,000 and is one of my top options for fantasy golf cash game lineups based on his recent form and excellent course history.
He has played in this event nine times in his career and has posted five top-25 finishes. Last year, he finished a career-best T5 at the Travelers. He had a strong week overall last year with four straight rounds of 67 or better.
His main weakness over the past few tournaments has been his driver, but the layout this week could help him overcome that by allowing him to play most of the holes with less than driver off the tee. The rest of his game has looked relatively solid, so don’t count him out this week. Over the last 16 rounds, he ranks in the top-10 in this elite field in both Strokes Gained: Approach and Strokes Gained: Around-the-Green.
Even though he hasn’t been in contention down the stretch on Sunday very often this season, he has managed to put together a solid season of overall results. He made the cut in seven of his last eight events, with the Masters the lone exception. He had his only top-10 of the year at a Signature Event back at The Genesis Invitational in a Signature Event and also finished T15 at the Truist Championship in another Signature Event just before his T19 at the PGA Championship in May. He made the cut at both the Memorial and the U.S. Open but couldn’t quite crack the top-25.
He has been consistent enough to be a solid play under $8,000, but he also brings a good enough ceiling to be worth paying for this week on a course where he has looked good in his recent appearances.
Brian Harman ($7,200)
Harman is a horse for the course this week, and even though he’ll be popular in this price range, there’s no arguing with his past success on this track.
Harman has finished in the top-10 in each of the last four years at the Travelers and in six of his last seven appearances. Last year, he finished T9 while shooting four rounds under 70 capped by a Final Round 62. He ranks fourth on the all-time winnings list for this event even though he has never won here. Just two years ago, he finished runner-up behind local favorite Keegan Bradley.
He did win earlier this season on the PGA TOUR, but his recent form hasn’t been great. He won the Valero Texas Open and finished third at the RBC Heritage in a Signature Event before fading. After missing the cut at the Memorial, Harman did make the cut last week at the U.S. Open and ultimately finished T59. He hasn’t finished in the top 40 since his T3 back at Harbour Town, but it isn’t like he has been a lost cause all season.
Despite his sketchy recent form, Harman should be able to produce solid results with four rounds at one of his best tracks ahead of him. If things break his way with the conditions, him ending up in contention is also not outside the realm of possiblity either, which makes him one of my top fantasy golf cash game targets at TPC River Highlands.
