Here are my top Pick6 plays for today’s MLB slate.
Bobby Witt Jr. More Than 1.5 Total Bases
Bobby Witt Jr. is having another monster season for the Royals. After finishing second in the AL MVP race last season, he is putting up incredible numbers again in 2025. He is batting .282 with an .821 OPS and leads the American League in doubles. Witt should be excited about the prospect of facing Patrick Corbin in Texas tonight. Witt has only faced Corbin a couple of times in his career, but in those six at-bats, Witt has four hits, including a double and a home run. In general, Witt has a 116 tOPS+ against left-handed pitching this season. Corbin has given up at least five hits in four of his past five starts, and has always had an issue giving up home runs. In fact, Corbin has led the National League in earned runs in three of the past four seasons. While his numbers have been a bit better this season with the Rangers, Witt should pick up an extra-base hit against him.
Cal Raleigh More Than 0.5 Home Runs
Cal Raleigh is having a breakout season for the Mariners. Raleigh has improved in each of his three full seasons with Seattle, having a solid 2022 season, finishing 18th in AL MVP voting in 2023, then winning a Gold Glove and finishing 12th in AL MVP voting in 2024. In 2025, he has taken a massive jump as not only a great catcher, but one of the best power hitters in the game. He leads Major League Baseball with 27 home runs this season and is tied with Aaron Judge for the American League lead in RBIs. Raleigh has an absurd 188 OPS+ in 2025 and should be poised to hit another home run off Garrett Crochet. Crochet has been much better at home, with a 116 tOPS+ at Fenway Park compared to a tOPS+ of 87 on the road. Raleigh hit a home run off Crochet when he faced off against him last season, and will look to keep his incredible season going by doing so again today.
Francisco Lindor More Than 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
Francisco Lindor is having another great season for the Mets. Lindor is batting .275 this season in the leadoff spot for the Mets. If he maintains that pace, it would be his best season-long batting average since 2019. Lindor was once expected to provide a power bat for the Mets, and while he is still capable of that, his role has shifted this season. With Pete Alonso, the MLB leader in RBIs, and Juan Soto behind him in the Mets’ lineup, Lindor’s primary objective is to get on base so that those guys can drive him in. Lindor ranks 13th in baseball in runs scored and produces something for the Mets almost every game. Lindor has faced Chris Sale a lot in his career and has come out on top more often than not. He has a career batting average of .412 with two home runs in 34 career at-bats against Sale. He should be able to get a base hit and let his teammates handle the rest in this game to get him over this mark.
Ketel Marte More Than 0.5 Runs
Ketel Marte is having an exciting season in Arizona, once again. Marte had a magical 2024 season, finishing third in the NL MVP race, winning a Silver Slugger and making the All-Star Game. Marte was forced to miss a month with an injury very early in the 2025 season, so his counting numbers aren’t as high as the best players in the MLB. However, his advanced metrics prove that Marte is having just as good of a season as 2024, if not better. Marte’s OPS+ is 160, higher than last year’s mark of 155, and the best of Marte’s career. His .943 OPS this season is also higher than last year’s and it has been impossible to argue against the fact that Marte is one of the best hitters in baseball. Eric Lauer is on the bump for Toronto tonight. In Marte’s career against Lauer, he is batting .412 with two home runs in 17 at-bats. Marte should have no problem getting on base against Lauer and should turn that into a run scored. Marte has ten runs scored in his last 12 games and should be able to keep that form going into this game.
Manny Machado More Than 1.5 Total Bases
Manny Machado has caught fire as of late, making this one of his best seasons at the plate in years. If he maintains his .316 batting average, it would be the best mark of his career. His .886 OPS is the best he has had since 2022, when he finished second in NL MVP voting. Machado’s past month has been nothing short of remarkable, slashing .327/.374/.606 with a .980 OPS over his last 26 games. Machado will look to keep that hot streak going against Emmett Sheehan in this important series against the Dodgers. Sheehan will be pitching for the first time since 2023 after getting Tommy John surgery in May of 2024. Sheehan started 13 games for the Dodgers in his rookie season in 2023, but will be very rusty after not pitching against MLB talent in two years. Machado should take advantage of that and keep his big month going, producing an extra-base hit.
Framber Valdez More Than 5.5 Strikeouts Thrown (Promo Pick)
There is a great boosted promo pick available for Pick6 customers to add to their selections for the day. Framber Valdez is having a monster season for the Astros and needs to throw just six strikeouts to clear this number. He has cleared this number in seven of his past eight starts, and should do so again in Sacramento tonight. Valdez always turns out a big chunk of innings, which is the most important thing when it comes to hitting strikeout totals. He ranks in the top ten in baseball in innings pitched this season, despite having one fewer start than most of the guys around him. The Athletics have three players with double-digit career plate appearances against Valdez: Brent Rooker, Seth Brown and Gio Urshela. Those three are a combined 5/42 against Valdez, equating to a .119 batting average.
