MLB Picks: Player Props and Team Props for Tuesday, June 17, 2025

Brandon Pfaadt under 16.5 outs recorded -105 vs. Toronto Blue Jays

It’s been a rough stretch for Pfaadt, who has allowed at least three runs in five of his last six starts. Over that period, he has recorded under 16.5 outs in four of those games. He faces another tough matchup against the Blue Jays on the road, where he has struggled most. Pfaadt has a 6.94 ERA, a .387 wOBA, and has allowed 11 of his 14 home runs through 35 road innings. His primary pitch, a four-seam fastball, has been the main issue and could worsen. Opposing hitters are batting .302 against it with an xBA of .377. I believe this will be another short outing for the Diamondbacks’ starter tonight in Toronto.

Robbie Ray over 6.5 strikeouts -120 vs. Cleveland Guardians

Ray is having a phenomenal season for the Giants, with a 2.55 ERA, a 2.83 xERA, and a 2.98 FIP. His strikeout numbers are impressive, boasting a 10.1 K/9 and a 15% swing-and-miss rate, the highest of his career since 2019. He faces a Guardians team prone to striking out, especially against left-handers. They have a 25% K% as a team, the ninth-highest in the league. Tonight’s expected lineup aligns with that, holding a 24.8% K% against lefties. Ray has surpassed 6.5 strikeouts in nine of his 14 starts, including five of his last six.

Baltimore Orioles team total bases over 13.5 total bases -105 vs. Tampa Bay Rays

We expect significant offense in tonight’s Orioles-Rays game at Steinbrenner Field, with a total of 9.5 runs. Dean Kremer and Zack Littell will start. Littell relies on contact for outs, with a 6.1 K/9. He allows many home runs, posting a 2.1 HR/9 over 86.2 innings, the third-highest HR/9 among pitchers with at least 50 innings. With high contact rates expected, I believe the Orioles will hit for power against Littell, exceeding their 13.5 team total bases.

Good luck with these MLB picks tonight!
