MLB Picks: Player Props and Team Props for Friday, June 13, 2025
San Diego Padres team total over 4.5 runs -110
I believe the Padres will erupt offensively tonight against Diamondbacks starter Ryne Nelson. Nelson has been mediocre on the mound, splitting time between the bullpen and starting rotation. As a starter, he has a 4.74 ERA and a 4.87 FIP across four games, with three of those starts lasting fewer than five innings. He relies heavily on his four-seam fastball, throwing it 60% of the time. The Padres’ projected lineup excels against this pitch, posting a combined .386 wOBA and .156 ISO. With Nelson unlikely to pitch deep, the Diamondbacks’ bullpen, which has logged 21.1 innings over the past week, will face added pressure. During that span, the bullpen has a 4.84 ERA, a 4.82 FIP, and a 5.2 BB/9.
Wyatt Langford 2+ total bases +110
The Rangers’ offense has risen from the dead in June, and I expect that to continue tonight. Adrian Houser is starting for the White Sox, and his numbers don’t reflect the type of pitcher he is. His 1.48 ERA is accompanied by an xERA of 3.22. So while he’s still been good, he’s certainly gotten lucky with the defense behind him. I like this spot for Langford, as Houser throws a lot of sinkers and four-seam fastballs. Those two pitches have combined for 61% of his arsenal, and Langford has done well against them. Against the sinker, Langford has a .344 wOBA with a .160 ISO and a .352 wOBA with a .286 ISO against the four-seam. Not only do I think the Rangers do well tonight but I believe Langford is a big pat of that.

Colorado Rockies at Atlanta Braves over 4.5 runs through first five innings -125
Although this game isn’t at Coors Field, I expect similar offensive firepower in Atlanta. German Marquez and Bryce Elder will face off tonight, pushing me toward the over on 4.5 runs through the first five innings. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Marquez’s earned runs allowed line is set at 3.5, while Elder’s is at 2.5. Marquez’s 7.00 ERA is inflated, but his 5.08 xERA isn’t much better. He’s struggled more on the road, posting an 8.82 ERA, a .415 wOBA, and a 4.26 FIP. Elder has also faltered this season, particularly with home runs, allowing 1.4 HR/9. I expect both sides to produce plenty of runs early.
