NHL Best Bets: Top Same Game Parlay for Panthers vs. Oilers Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final

Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final takes place tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET and DraftKings Sportsbook has you covered with a sweet profit boost promotion for the action. It’s simple––following opt-in, you will be issued a single-use profit boost token. Then, craft your Same Game Parlay (SGP), which must be at least three legs with odds of at least +300 or longer.

The first three matchups have featured plenty of goals, so it should be easy to find some valuable player prop bets to get us above the required +300-odd threshold. See below for my top SGP for Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final between the Panthers and Oilers.

Oilers vs. Panthers Game 4 Same Game Parlay

  • EDM Oilers Over 2.5 Total Goals
  • Evan Bouchard 3+ Shots on Goal
  • Carter Verhaeghe 3+ Shots on Goal

EDM Oilers Over 2.5 Total Goals

Game 3 was an ugly one for Edmonton and it marked just the third time this postseason that it scored fewer than three goals. It’s no easy task to completely shut down both Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl in back-to-back games, however, so I’m expecting a bounce-back performance for the Oilers tonight. Off-games happen, and let’s not forget this same Oilers team found itself in a 0-3 deficit last year in the Stanley Cup Final. They’re more than capable of showing up offensively, having averaged over 3.8 goals per game and a 55% 5v5 expected goal percentage this postseason.

Evan Bouchard 3+ Shots on Goal

The 25-year-old offensive defenseman has totaled 17 shots on goal and 41 shot attempts in just three games this series. For reference, the top two Panthers, Sam Reinhart and Brad Marchand, have a combined 19 shots on goal and 37 shot attempts. Florida seems to be okay with allowing Bouchard to rip shots from the point while it limits both McDavid and Draisaitl elsewhere, and I don’t see that trend stopping tonight. Bouchard has logged 26+ minutes of ice time in all three games this series and as long as he’s on the ice, he will continue to get the puck on net and create rebound chances for his teammates.

Carter Verhaeghe 3+ Shots on Goal

After failing to record a single shot on goal in Game 1, “Playoff Verhaeghe” has returned to his usual postseason form, totaling seven shots on goal in the past two games. Verhaeghe has shown up on the stat sheet each game thanks to sharing a line with Sam Bennett, who simply won’t stop scoring, but he will always be a shoot-first player and has logged at least a 46% 5v5 expected goal percentage in back-to-back games. Edmonton has particularly struggled against opposing left wings this postseason, allowing the most shots per game to the position. Verhaeghe has found success against the Oilers in the past, too, clearing this line in four of the last six versus them and four of seven games in last year’s Cup Final.

SGP odds: +330
