The NASCAR season is revving up and DraftKings is shifting into high gear with an assortment of fantasy NASCAR contests. Dive into the best fantasy racing picks for the NASCAR Cup Series Viva Mexico 250 at Mexico City.

Set your DraftKings fantasy NASCAR lineups here: NAS $300K Engineer [$100K to 1st] (Cup)

  1. Kyle Larson ($10,000) — Who knows what will happen in Mexico? We know what has happened at road courses. Larson is the greatest racer on the planet. He’s been an elite road racer in Hendrick equipment. In the Gen-7 package, Larson ranks in the top five for cPOMS (Continuous Percentage of Max Speed) and Speed Score.
  2. Shane van Gisbergen ($10,500) — The notebooks are empty. It all comes down to skill. The notebooks were empty in 2023 when NASCAR raced the streets of Chicago, and the Kiwi shocked the world with his win.
  3. Christopher Bell ($10,200) — There’s been one road race in 2025, and Bell won it at COTA. In his 26 career road races, Bell has two wins, seven top 5s, and 13 top 10s.
  4. Tyler Reddick ($9,700) — There was a moment when Reddick was red-hot on the road. He’s cooled, but only in terms of wins. His skills and car are not in decline. His average finish in the Gen-7 package is the third-best.
  5. Denny Hamlin ($7,100) — Will he race? Hamlin’s on baby watch, which means a lot on his mind. But Hamlin is a big brain, and that’s important when visiting a circuit for the first time. His Gen-7 road results haven’t been great, but he’s been one of the best drivers in first runs at road courses.
  6. Chase Elliott ($9,500) — If it’s a new race, play Chase. Elliott won the inaugural races at Road America, COTA, and the Daytona Road Course. When it comes to quickly becoming quick, Elliott’s the pick.
  7. William Byron ($9,900) — He’s always had the stuff. It took a while for Byron to put together a full race, but he’s done it. The Hendrick fleet is elite. Dominating a novel Mexico course is no small feat, but that’s Willy B’s beat.
  8. Chris Buescher ($8,400) — Blue-collar Buescher is one of the best road course drivers. The data is undeniable. He’s not Senna, Schumacher, or Jeff Gordon. He’s a delivery driver. Buescher isn’t the best, but he doesn’t bust. Want your pizza in 30 minutes? Buescher’s your guy.
  9. Ty Gibbs ($7,400) — Sunday is Father’s Day. Gibbs has a career because of his father and grandfather (or abuelo if you passed Spanish I in ninth grade). Gibbs hasn’t made Abuelo Joe happy in 2025, but that could change at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. Gibbs was an elite road racer in the Xfinity Series and has been above average in the Cup Series.
  10. A.J. Allmendinger ($9,300) — This race is circled on Kaulig Racing’s calendar. The team has been competitive on every track this season and on road courses for seasons. Allmendinger won as an underdog in the inaugural Indy GP in 2021.
  11. Daniel Suarez ($8,600) — DFS is a balance of stats and narratives. Suarez doesn’t have the stats, but his narrative is stronger than any other driver’s. It’s a telenovela. Suarez is Mexico’s lone representative in the Viva Mexico 250. The pressure is on, but Trackhouse has likely been preparing the No. 99 Chevy for months. It should be near-perfect.
  12. Michael McDowell ($8,200) — Even with average equipment, the seasoned road racer was one of the best performers in the Cup Series. He’s become elite with competitive equipment. McDowell has the second-best median finish in the five 2024 road course races.
  13. Riley Herbst ($5,300) — His sample size is insignificante. Herbst has one road race in the Cup Series—not great, Chico. But Chico was pretty good at COTA. The third driver for 23XI Racing started 31st and finished 17th at COTA. He didn’t have much for the elite, but he was the fastest driver in the back.
  14. Alex Bowman ($7,700) — The No. 48 is the cheapest Hendrick offering. Bowman won the 2024 Chicago Street Circuit Race. He’s never flashy, but he’s known for playing the stage strategy successfully.
  15. Katherine Legge ($4,800) — Let’s show the lady some love. Her NASCAR career has been lackluster, lacking experience and equipment. The modern series doesn’t afford her much practice, so she’s always in a hole. Mexico is different. Her equipment isn’t great, but she’s not at an experiential disadvantage. Legge is a seasoned road course driver.
