There’s only four games on tonight’s featured MLB DFS slate, but there’s still some big contests on DraftKings with some big prize money available.

Will Warren, New York Yankees at Kansas City Royals, $7,500 – Warren’s past two starts have been awful and the rookie is now rocking a 5.34 ERA for the season as a whole. Not too appealing. However, a 3.54 SIERA and a 3.34 FIP tell a much different story. The fact of the matter is that Warren has been getting unlucky. Among the 117 pitchers with at least 50 innings thrown in 2025, Warren’s 62.5% strand rate is the seventh-lowest mark — and that’s despite a very impressive 29.4% strikeout rate. He’s due for some normalization. Hopefully, for prospective owners, that comes this evening against a Royals lineup that ranks 29th in ISO (.119).
INFIELD
Stud
Ivan Herrera, St. Louis Cardinals at Milwaukee Brewers, $4,400 – The big news of the night is that top prospect Jacob Misiorowski ($8,000) will be making his MLB debut. The former second-round pick is oozing with potential, highlighted by a fastball that will touch 100 mph. Still, he’s a rookie and he’s had serious control issues in the minors. There’s a real scenario where he walks the world this evening and gets himself into trouble. That’s why I’ll have some exposure to the Cardinals. Herrera has been amazing when healthy in 2025, slashing .317/.393/.548 with a 164 wRC+. There’s a reason that he’s now essentially St. Louis’ full-time DH.

Christian Walker, Houston Astros vs. Chicago White Sox, $3,500 – Walker seems like he might finally be turning the corner. After a terribly slow start in April and May, the veteran infielder owns a .206 ISO and a 125 wRC+ so far in June, and he’s fresh off a three-hit performance in Wednesday’s offensive explosion for the Astros. More importantly, Davis Martin ($6,500) and his 5.56 xERA will be taking the mound for the White Sox on Thursday night. Martin’s surrendered a 10.5% opponent barrel rate this season and he’s given up multiple home runs in each of his past two outings. Woof.
OUTFIELD

Seiya Suzuki, Chicago Cubs vs. Pittsburgh Pirates, $5,300 – The wind might be blowing in at Wrigley tonight, but that’s not going to stop me from investing in Suzuki, who possesses a .472 expected wOBA against LHPs this season. Not enough? How about seven home runs in 77 plate appearances in the split, translating out to a .323/.416/.708 slash line? Andrew Heaney ($7,000) has certainly had his moments in 2025, but he’s not missing bats and his 4.70 xERA is far more indicative than his 3.24 ERA. In short, Suzuki’s my favorite play on this whole slate.

Jac Caglianone, Kansas City Royals vs. New York Yankees, $3,500 – If your plan is to fade the aforementioned Warren, I’d be getting a lot of Caglianone into my lineups. Most of Warren’s issues in 2025 have come at the hands of opposing LHBs, as those within the split have hit five of the six home runs that the RHP has surrendered this season. Caglianone has yet to hit his first-career long ball in 33 plate appearances, but the No. 1 prospect in the Royals’ system has registered a .339 expected batting average due to 55.6% hard hit rate. As anticipated, Caglianone is crushing the baseball.
