WATCH: Roman Anthony records first hit for Boston Red Sox

It’s been a year of star prospect debuts in Boston. Kristian Campbell broke camp with the Red Sox, Marcelo Mayer was called up weeks ago, and now MLB’s #1 prospect Roman Anthony has arrived. Now, the stud outfield prospect has his first career hit.

The Red Sox have needed a player with Anthony’s pure hit tool all year. Just last week, he crushed a 497-foot grand slam in one of his last minor league games before getting the call-up. Roman was 0-for-4 in his first MLB action yesterday. Now his first hit is out of the way, with many more to come. Congrats to Roman Anthony!
