The PGA TOUR heads to Oakmont, Pennsylvania this week for 125th edition of the United States Open. Oakmont Country Club will be the host, and measures as a 7,372-yard par 70 with Poa Annua greens.
The U.S. Open is a full-field, 156-man event that will feature a 36-hole cut where the top-50 and ties make the weekend. The field is of course stacked this week for the third major of the season, led at the top by World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, who will be looking for his fourth win over his past five starts.
Below, I have outlined three of my favorite DraftKings plays for the week.

Bryson DeChambeau ($11,000)
There is a $3,400 gap between Scheffler and DeChambeau this week, and while I do believe the former is the best overall play on the board, dropping down and starting lineups with the reigning U.S. Open champ is my preferred route. DeChambeau is playing the best golf of his career right now, having posted six consecutive top-five finishes across LIV Golf and at both the Masters and PGA Championship.
The Youtube megastar finished runner-up to Scheffler at Quail Hollow last month, and posted T5 at Augusta back in April. He also won LIV Korea three starts ago and is coming off a T4 at LIV Virginia last week, where he was tied for the lead at one point on Sunday. DeChambeau has now finished T6 or better in five of his past six major starts, which includes last year’s win at Pinehurst. The man is an absolute machine right now.
He should be able to absolutely carve up Oakmont this week with his massive distance advantage off-the-tee. Dustin Johnson led the field in driving distance back in 2016 during his U.S. Open win, and DeChambeau is so far and away the best driver of the ball on earth right now that if he’s even average through the rest of his bag he will be in contention.
The only reason you would consider fading DeChambeau right now is game theory, but with everyone in $9k+ range outside of Jon Rahm and Scheffler dealing with their own struggles, he really is the best dollar-for-dollar play on the slate.
Joaquin Niemann ($8,600)
Another LIV player makes the article this week, and that’s the 26-year old Chilean phenom Joaquin Niemann. For a long time, the narrative surrounding Niemann was that he simply never contends in majors, which to be fair was the truth. However, he finally silenced the doubters at Quail Hollow last month with a T8 at the PGA Championship, and now looks primed to make a run this week at Oakmont.
Niemann is coming off yet another win on LIV this past week in Virginia, where he shot a bogey-free, eight-under 66 to win by one stroke. The win marked his fourth across his past seven LIV starts, and it’s time the rest of the world took notice of how good this man is at golf. In case you needed a refresher, Niemann went wire-to-wire at Riviera back in 2022 to win the Genesis Invitational as a 22-year old. He’s special.
Niemann has the requisite skillset to tackle Oakmont as well, as he ranks third on LIV in driving distance this season, while sitting second in greens in regulation and No. 1 in total birdies made. LIV does have Strokes Gained Data, but it’s not available to the general public. Rest assured, however, Niemann is one of the best iron players on earth right now, which was especially highlighted at PGA Championship where he gained 6.9 strokes with his irons.
Overall, Niemann has zero weaknesses in his game at the moment and is in the best form of his young career, making him one of the easiest clicks on the slate at just $8,600.
Keegan Bradley ($7,400)
Bradley is in the midst of an incredible season at age 39. He’s finished T8 or better four times in 13 starts, including in each of his past two at the Memorial and PGA Championship. The 2025 USA Ryder Cup captain ranks third in this loaded field in SG: Tee-to-Green across his past 48 rounds, trailing only Shane Lowry and Scheffler in that time frame. He also ranks 14th in SG: Off-the-Tee and 13th in SG: Approach over the same timeframe, making him one of the best pure ball-strikers on the planet right now.
Bradley has always played well in this portion of the country. He won the BMW Championship back in 2018 at Aronimik Golf Club near Philadelphia, which measures as a 7,200-yard par 70. He also took down the Travelers back in 2023, which is in Connecticut.
His history at the U.S. Open is a bit of a mixed bag, as he has a bunch of missed cuts, but also boasts finishes of T32 and T7 in two of his past three starts. He’s simply too cheap for the way he’s been playing at just $7,400, and is hitting the ball as well as anyone on the PGA TOUR right now.
There are plenty of good value options in this range this week, but Bradley feels like the safest of the bunch.
