Tonight, the Yankees and Royals are set to meet for their second series this season. If New York earns a fourth straight win over Kansas City, Aaron Judge will likely play a major role. Baseball’s best hitter has taken things to another level for the Yankees in 2025. However, the Royals wield one of the league’s best pitching staffs. What should we expect from Judge on Tuesday?
Tonight, the Yankees are heavy favorites (-200) over the Royals, with theย over/under set at 8.5 runs. Before the start of Tuesday’s matchup, here’s my favorite Aaron Judge player prop bet on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Aaron Judge over 2.5 hits + runs + RBIs (-120)
Despite the Pinstripes losing a series against the Red Sox, it was quite the weekend for Judge. During three outings vs. Boston, #99 hit .462 while driving in two homers and five RBIs. At this point, baseball fans have come to expect excellence every night from the two-time MVP. This season, the slugger is slashing .396/.493/.771 at the plate in addition to 23 dingers, 62 runs scored and 55 RBIs.
You can count on your hand the number of pitchers capable of giving Judge trouble. Almost none of them are southpaws, as is the case for Royals rookie Noah Cameron. This season, New York’s face of the franchise is hitting .422 against left-handers. With that being said, KC’s starter has surpassed all expectations so far. Through five career starts, Cameron has yet to allow more than one earned run. Those appearances have all come against above-average lineups (CIN, STL, TB and MIN).
What makes Judge so dangerous isn’t just individual excellence. The Yankees sans Juan Soto have done a better job of protecting their captain. This season, New York has scored the third-most runs per game in baseball (5.45). That’s been made possible by a league-leading .836 OPS against lefties. For context, Cameron has yet to face an opposing offense that ranks within the top ten in that category. To make matters worse for Kansas City, the 25-year-old’s FIP of 3.64 could signal negative regression.
As is usually the case, Aaron Judge’s odds are sky-high across the board. However, that’s to be expected at this point. New York’s superstar is one of the safest bets in baseball; expect that to be the case again tonight.
