Shohei Ohtani 1+ Home Runs (+170): The +170 odds are a low number when it comes to betting on a home run, but expected for Shohei Ohtani. The Dodgers’ star is tied with Aaron Judge for the second-most home runs in the MLB with 23 on the season. Ohtani and the Dodgers will face off with the San Diego Padres tonight with Nick Pivetta on the mound. Pivetta enters with a 3.16 ERA and has given up seven home runs across his first 12 starts. Ohtani has faced Pivetta 12 times in their careers. He has gone 4-for-12 with a double and two home runs. Ohtani enters this game riding a five-game hitting streak but has not put one over the fence in his past six games played.
Ketel Marte 1+ Home Runs (+400): It has been a strong start to the season for Ketel Marte, who enters with 12 home runs on the year while slashing .294/.418/.603. Arizona will face Seattle tonight, with Emerson Hancock set to get the start for the Mariners. The right-hander has allowed nine home runs across his opening 10 starts, with six of these coming in his last five games. Six of the nine home runs have also come against left-handed hitters. Marte is a switch-hitter but has tallied 10 of his 12 home runs against right-handed pitchers. He is also coming off a six-game road trip in which he hit four home runs. They tallied just eight total runs across the five-game losing skid and will return to Citizens Bank Park, where they will hope for better results. Kyle Schwarber has not been off to his usual June tear but has 20 home runs tallied on the season and is slashing .252/.378/.550 this season. Philadelphia will host the Chicago Cubs tonight, with Matthew Boyd set to get the start. Boyd is posting a 3.01 ERA through his opening 12 starts and has allowed eight home runs on the season. Schwarber last hit a home run during Saturday’s matchup with the Pirates and will be batting second in the lineup tonight.
