Myles Turner Best Prop Bets for Pacers vs. Thunder Game 2

Myles Turner Best Prop Bets for Pacers vs. Thunder Game 2

The Indiana Pacers added to their list of improbable victories with the Game 1 win over the Thunder, in which they led for a total of 0.3 seconds. Tyrese Haliburton has dominated the headlines for hitting the game-winner, but it took a complete team effort for this Pacers comeback. Myles Turner was a huge part of this effort by scoring five of their final 20 points, including a huge bank three-pointer, which cut the lead to four points.

Turner finished the matchup with 15 points, nine rebounds, and three blocks in the Game 1 win. He finished as a +8 in the narrow victory and clocked 28 minutes of action.

Looking at the Game 2 odds, the Thunder enter as 11-point favorites with -520 odds on the moneyline on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Pacers hold +390 odds of getting the outright victory, with the game total set at 228.5 points.

With the stage set, here are my favorite Myles Turner prop bets for the Game 2 matchup.

Best Myles Turner Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

Myles Turner’s props are listed at over/under 13.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.5 made three-pointers, and 20.5 combined points, rebounds and assists.

Myles Turner Over 1.5 Made Three-Pointers (+110)

After surviving years of trade rumors, Myles Turner has grown into a legitimate franchise center for this Pacers team. We will bookmark the difficult conversation surrounding his upcoming free agency for now and keep the focus on Game 2 for this article. Turner’s ability to serve as a legitimate rim protector to anchor the defense while spacing the floor on the offensive end is crucial to allowing Tyrese Haliburton to attack the paint and the Pacers’ overall offensive approach.

Turner attempted a career-high 5.5 three-point attempts per game this season and connected at a career-best 39.6% rate. He averaged 2.2 made three-pointers per game in the regular season and connected on over 1.5 made three-pointers in 45 of the 72 games he played in. Across the postseason, his perimeter volume has slipped to 3.9 three-point attempts per game, but he is connecting at a 40.3% rate. Turner has made at least one three-pointer in every postseason game and connected with over 1.5 made three-pointers in six games.

While Oklahoma City had success defensively overall in the first game, expect their intensity to be further ratcheted up following the loss. Turner will benefit from not being at the top of the list of priorities, with shutting down Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam being a larger goal. Expect Turner to welcome more shot opportunities and be called on to fill a larger offensive role. He is most comfortable as a floor spacer and connecting from the perimeter. Look for Turner to capitalize on as many three-point looks as he can get and connect with over 1.5 made three-pointers in the second straight game.

Myles Turner Under 5.5 Rebounds (+114)

The Thunder made a surprising roster change by injecting Cason Wallace into the starting lineup and sending Isaiah Hartenstein to the bench ahead of Game 1. Indiana’s desire to play at a fast pace and Turner’s comfort level on the perimeter were the driving reasons for this. Don’t be surprised if the Thunder plug Hartenstein back into the starting lineup tonight. At the minimum, expect more expanded minutes for the double-big lineup after the Pacers won the rebounding battle so notably.

Across the regular season, Turner averaged 6.5 rebounds per game, and his output has slipped to 5.2 per game in the postseason. He averaged just 3.2 rebounds per game during the Knicks series and has been held under 5.5 rebounds in 11 of the 17 games.

The nine rebounds that Turner pulled in during Game 1 are impressive but expect a different outlook tonight. Count on Oklahoma City to have a clear commitment to rebounding the basketball and attempting to win the rebounding battle. Turner is not equipped to battle with the duo of Hartenstein and Holmgren, which should be on the floor much more frequently tonight. Expect the entire rebounding outlook to shift in this game and for Oklahoma City to be the team controlling the boards throughout. Turner has not been consistent enough as a rebounder across the board, and count on him being held to less than 5.5 rebounds for the 12th time in this playoff run.
