Tyrese Haliburton, Indiana Pacers at Oklahoma City Thunder ($11,200) ā What the Haliburton? No one saw that coming but everyone should have seen that coming. The Pacers have been shocking the world series after series. Yet no one believes in Indy. The prediction markets ā driven by fans with skin in the game ā gave the Pacers an 8% chance of winning this series. Shame on them. SGA is MVP. Haliburton is him. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ($12,400) will score and will likely put the Thunder on his back in Game 2, but Haliburton just hits different. The Indy superstar will likely carry lower ownership than SGA and has just as much upside.

Alex Caruso, Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Indiana Pacers ($5,800) ā SGA is the face of the franchise. D is the DNA of OKC. Caruso was acquired from the Bulls for Josh Giddey. The Thunder were already a solid defense-driven team. The trade made them elite. The trade got the Thunder to the Finals. Caruso was OK in Game 1, but OK is not good enough. He’s the type of grinder that will be the first to admit that. Game 2 of the NBA Finals should be the best version of Caruso.

Pascal Siakam, Indiana Pacers at Oklahoma City Thunder ($9,600) ā Hand it to the Pacers’ front office. They landed Haliburton and Siakam through trades. The guard-forward combo has propelled the Pacers throughout the playoffs. This might not be Jordan and Pippen, but it might be. This could be the beginning. The two are showing no signs of cooling off. Siakam has scored 30 points or more in three of the last six playoff games with 15 points being his floor (blowout loss to the Knicks). Siakam added a new element of fantasy scoring by grabbing 10 rebounds in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

Luguentz Dort, Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Indiana Pacers, ($5,400) ā The Dorture chamber was on full display in Game 1. OKC forced 26 turnovers. Dort recorded four steals and two blocks. Somehow the Thunder managed to lose. Their lockdown defense shut down to soon. The Pacers pulverized on the perimeter. Dort is a full-motor player. He needs to stay on the gas in Game 2. Trailing in the series 0-1 at home, full Dort will be on display in the must-win game.

Myles Turner, Indiana Pacers at Oklahoma City Thunder ($7,600) ā It’s been a long time coming. The big man has been here since day 1. Turner is the longest-tenured Pacer. The 11th pick of the 2015 draft from the University of Texas has been grinding for the Pacers for over a decade. Coaches and players have come and gone, but the veteran has been a permanent fixture. Turner is the Pacers. Turner is the burner. The Pacers were down 15 points in the fourth quarter when Turner reentered Game 1. He scored eight points down the stretch and the Pacers won. So much for playing small.

Obi Toppin, Indiana Pacers at Oklahoma City Thunder ($4,000) ā Will Toppin keep it poppin’? Is this chasin’? Regardless of narratives and DFS theory, Toppin is a cheap option on a showdown slate with few players offering upside. Obi is not a nobody. Toppin won both the Naismith and Associated Press National Player of the Year Awards. As a Dayton Flyer, he won all of the Player of the Year Awards in 2020. He’s an incredibly underrated sixth man that could start for most teams in this league. Game 1 could be an aberration. It could also be the beginning.
