Sovereignty won the 157th Belmont Stakes on Saturday, June 7, at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York.

After entering the morning line as a 2/1 favorite, Sovereignty dropped to 5/2 odds at pole time behind Journalism at 2/1. The two battled throughout the final stretch before Sovereignty claimed the lead to win the iconic race.

With Saturday’s win, Sovereignty now claims two of three Triple Crown legs with Junior Alvarado serving as jockey.
