UFC 316 is taking place tonight in Newark, New Jersey, and a UFC Bantamweight title fight headlines the event. Merab Dvalishvili defends his championship against Sean O’Malley in a rematch from UFC 306. Dvalishvili is a -305 favorite, as O’Malley is a +245 underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook. Dvalishvili won the first matchup by unanimous decision.

Let’s look at how the public is betting on this fight.

Betting Splits

O’Malley is the underdog in this contest, but is a popular bet with the public. He is getting 52 percent of the bets and 84 percent of the handle. The champion has drawn 16 percent of the handle bet and 48 percent of the total bets. Dvalishvili is tied with Mairo Bautista, who has the least amount of the handle bet on this main card.

This isn’t surprising since Dvalishvili is a big favorite in this fight. But it is still telling that O’Malley has supporters after losing his last fight to Dvalishvili in September 2024 at UFC 306.

O’Malley is tied with Patchy Mix with the largest handle bet on this Main Card. O’Malley is 18-2 in the UFC in his career with 12 knockouts and has never lost two straight fights. Dvalishvili is riding a 12-fight win streak in the UFC and hasn’t suffered a defeat since April 2018. In their first fight, the odds were closer as O’Malley was a +100 underdog, and Dvalishvili was the -120 betting favorite.
