UPDATE: Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso defeat John Cena and Logan Paul
Just when you think you’ve seen it all. The headlines all week were that R-Truth had been released from WWE, which we now know was a ruse. Triple H you dirty dog, you. Late in this tag match, a masked man in a hoodie came through the crowd and beat down John Cena while the ref was tending to chaos outside the ring. The man would pull down the mask and reveal himself to be non other than Ron Killings, R-Truth himself.
He hit Cena with the WWE title, which allowed Cody Rhodes to deliver Crossroads on the champ and actually pin him clean. What a finish to an insane match. Logan Paul shined here as well, as he nailed Jey Uso with a moonsault off the second rope through the announce table.
Overall, a great capper to an awesome night.
UPDATE: Seth Rollins wins Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Another banger of a match. Seth Rollins had his boys Bron Breaker and Bronson Reed come out and wreak havoc on the other five superstars in the match. This was until Jacob Fatu and JC Matteo came down to help Solo Sikoa. After clearing the ring, Fatu had set everything up for Sikoa to win the briefcase, until he screwed his family. Slamming him through a set up ladder outside the ring.
This allowed LA Knight and Rollins to battle back inside the ring, where Rollins would hit Knight with his stomp and climb the ladder to retrieve the case.
UPDATE: Becky Lynch defeats Lyra Valkyria
This was a rematch from Backlash last month and the sequel did not disappoint. Valkyria has really turned into one of the best wrestlers on the women’s roster. She hit Lynch with an array of moves in this match, including a flying leg drop off the announce table while Lynch was hunched over the barricade. She also hit Lynch with her finisher “nightwing,” multiple times.
However, as the two were trading near falls later in the match, Lynch rolled up Valkyria and held her tights to get the victory and become the new Intercontinental champ.
UPDATE: Dominik Mysterio defeats Octagon Jr.
This match was a late addition to the card, after Mysterio showed up to the Lucha event earlier in the day. This match did not last too long, as Dirty Dom’s girlfriend, Liv Morgan, distracted Octagon Jr. when he was on the top rope, allowing her man to gain the upper hand. Mysterio would then hit a frog splash for the 1-2-3.
UPDATE: Naomi wins Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match
What a way to start the night. There was carnage all over the place as all six women in this match used ladders as weapons, including Stephanie Vaquer hitting her patented “devils kiss” to Rhea Ripley on a ladder set up between the turnbuckle and a standing ladder. Roxanne Perez also hit Ripley with a springboard moonsault on a ladder earlier in the match.
After the dust settled, Naomi found herself as the only woman upright and made her way up the ladder to grab the briefcase. What a match.
