NHL Best Bets: Top Same Game Parlay for Oilers vs. Panthers Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final

By: Hunter Skoczylas

Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final takes place tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET and DraftKings Sportsbook has you covered with a sweet profit boost promotion for the action. It’s simple––following opt-in, you will be issued with a single-use profit boost token. Then, simply craft your Same Game Parlay (SGP), which must be at least three legs with odds of at least +300 or longer.

The talent is stacked on both sides, so it should be easy to find some valuable player prop bets to get us above the required +300 odd threshold. See below for my top SGP for Oilers vs. Panthers Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final.

Oilers vs. Panthers Game 2 Same Game Parlay

  • FLA Panthers Over 2.5 Total Goals
  • Sam Bennett 3+ Shots on Goal
  • Connor McDavid 2+ Points

FLA Panthers Over 2.5 Total Goals

The Panthers are 3-1 coming off this loss this postseason while clearing this line in all four games. Florida is also the first team in NHL history to score at least three goals in nine straight road games in a postseason. Although Game 1 wasn’t the preferred outcome, Florida recorded the higher 5v5 Corsi percentage (52.32%), and I expect the same momentum to carry over into tonight’s Game 2 matchup. There are simply too many superstars in this series for there to be low-scoring affairs, and the Panthers have been elite when playing on the road.

Sam Bennett 3+ Shots on Goal

This postseason’s leading goalscorer should continue to fire as many pucks on net as possible in Game 2. Bennett netted two of Florida’s three goals in Game 1 and now leads the team in points (18). The 28-year-old center has been the Panthers’ primary offensive threat this postseason and that was evident in Game 1 where he recorded eight shot attempts and five shots on goal. Bennett has recorded at least five shots on goal in back-to-back games versus Edmonton and based on Florida’s Game 1 dump-and-chase offensive play style, he should continue to see plenty of quality chances in front of the net.

Connor McDavid 2+ Points

McDavid is simply on another level right now, having recorded at least two points in four straight and 10 games this postseason. He set up the game-winning overtime goal scored by Leon Draisaitl and seemed to prioritize getting the puck on net with seven shot attempts and four shots on goal. I don’t see a reason to fade the best hockey player in the world when he is this locked in and especially good when playing at home in front of thousands of Oilers fans. Given his play style and ability to be anywhere on the ice, he has multiple ways to record two points and increase his streak to five games.

SGP odds: +340
