It’s officially the best time of the year, as NFL Best Ball is back on DraftKings.
This format gives players a chance to draft a fantasy football team for a season-long competition that requires no active in-season management, but still provides a full season of drama and competition.

Below I have ranked my top-30 tight ends for the 2025 DraftKings NFL Best Ball season.

3. George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers
Even entering his age-31 season, Kittle is one of the safest tight end bets on the board after Brock Bowers and Trey McBride. He is arguably the healthiest 49er right now, as all of Christian McCaffrey, Brandon Aiyuk and Ricky Pearsall are coming off injury-plagued 2024 seasons.
Aiyuk tore both his right ACL and MCL in Week 7 and may not even be ready for the start of this upcoming season. CMC played just four games last season due to Achilles tendinitis, and is now 28 years old with a ton of mileage on his tires. And finally, Ricky Pearsall already tweaked his hammy during OTAs and was largely ineffective last year after recovering from a gun shot wound sustained last August.
This is all to say that Kittle should be looking at a hefty target share in 2025 with all the uncertainty surrounding this 49ers offense. Outside of Jauan Jennings, they simply have a ton of question marks in the pass catching corps. Kittle eclipsed 20 FPTS in eight of his 15 games last season, and barring injury, is on pace to crush yet again. He’s the unquestioned TE3 right now behind McBride and Bowers, with a real chance to finish higher than both if things break right.
8. Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens
It really looked like Andrews was washed through the first five games last year. He had just 10 catches for 120 yards and zero touchdowns through Week 5, and was routinely getting outplayed by Isaiah Likely. For whatever reason, something clicked after that, because from Week 6 on he caught 11 touchdowns and hit 14.8 or more FPTS eight times in 11 games.
Nothing has really changed for this Baltimore offense heading into 2025, outside of bringing in 33-year-old DeAndre Hopkins, who is more of a threat to the Ravens’ wide-receiver depth than the tight end room. Lamar Jackson loves looking for his TE1 in the red zone, and you can expect the Ravens to be in scoring position quite a bit this upcoming season.
16. Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles
Veteran tight ends are the name of the game here I guess, because Goedert is another who I really like this season. He’s obviously a massive injury risk, having missed five or more games in three of his past five seasons, but that’s already well baked into this 12th round ADP.
Goedert closed last season on a high note, posting 17 catches for 215 yards and a touchdown across the Eagles four playoff games. Despite some trade rumors, he will enter 2025 as the unquestioned TE1 in Philly, and third on the target tree behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.
Goedert is 30 years old now, but still has at least one more elite season in him, and this ADP could end up looking quite silly if the Eagles are forced to pass more in 2025.
