Jannik Sinner vs. Novak Djokovic prediction, pick for French Open semifinal

The world’s top-ranked player, Jannik Sinner, takes on 24-time Grand Slam title winner, Novak Djokovic, with a spot in the French Open Men’s Singles Final on the line. This is a match prediction and the best bet to make on DraftKings Sportsbook for the match.

Jannik Sinner vs. Novak Djokovic

Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic are facing off in a blockbuster French Open semifinal. Sinner is the top-ranked player in the world and Djokovic is one of the legends of the sport. Any time people start to count Djokovic out, he shows that he can still compete at the top of the game. He took down the third-ranked player in the world, Alexander Zverev, in the quarterfinals to set up this matchup. That being said, Sinner will not be afraid of Djokovic. In eight career matchups between the two great players, each player has won four matches. However, it is Sinner who has won the past three matches between the two.

The last time they faced off, Sinner defeated Djokovic in the ATP Masters 1000 Shanghai Final in October. The last time they faced each other in a major, Sinner beat Djokovic in the Australian Open semifinals. The two have only faced each other on clay once, and that came all the way back in 2021. Djokovic won that match, but that was when he was a far superior player to Sinner. While Djokovic is still one of the best players in the world, it will take a near-perfect effort to take down Sinner.

Sinner vs. Djokovic pick, best bet

Jannik Sinner is an overwhelming favorite against Djokovic, despite the latter’s legendary status. He is a -450 favorite against Djokovic and the odds indicate that Sinner will most likely win the match in straight sets. However, my favorite bet is taking Sinner to win by a score of three sets to one. The odds on that bet are currently at +240 on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Sinner’s game is just too much for Djokovic at the moment. Sinner has demolished the competition so far in the French Open, not dropping a single set up to this point. That being said, it has been a relatively easy road to this point for Sinner. The world’s top-ranked player has gotten the benefit of a few upsets of opponents he was supposed to face along the way. The highest-ranked player Sinner has faced so far is 17th-ranked Andrey Rublev.

There is a chance that Sinner is a bit complacent at this point in the tournament and won’t enter this match with his full focus. Djokovic could catch him off guard and win the first or second set. However, once Sinner locks in, he should have total control against Djokovic. When they last faced in a Grand Slam, it was the Australian Open semifinals. Sinner defeated Djokovic in four sets in that match, and I expect him to do the same on Friday.

Best Bet: Jannik Sinner to win 3:1 (+240)
