Tigers at White Sox game delayed due to rain Wednesday 6/4/25

LATEST UPDATE: The Tigers at White Sox matchup is now expected to begin at 9:15 p.m. EST.

UPDATE: As of 8:28 p.m. EST, the game remains in a weather delay.

First pitch of Wednesday’s matchup between the Detroit Tigers and Chicago White Sox is officially delayed due to rain. The game was originally scheduled for a 7:40 p.m. EST start, but the tarp is back on the field as the teams wait out the inclement weather.

The game’s new start time appears to be 8:10 p.m. EST according to the matchup info on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Tigers are a heavy favorite at -205 on the Moneyline, while the White Sox are +170 to win outright.

Jared Shutter is in line to start for Chicago at home, while Detroit pitcher Sawyer Gipson-Long makes his first MLB start tonight.
