The Oilers and Panthers played out a classic on Wednesday night. The Oilers opened the scoring after one minute and six seconds but were then pegged back by two first period Florida goals. The Panthers then scored again to take a 3-1 lead, before the Oilers came storming back to tie the game at 3-3 and send it to OT.

From there, the teams played out a stalemate until the final minute of the first OT, where the Oilers capitalized on a power play and scored the winning goal.

Game 2 of the series is set for Friday night in Edmonton. Below are the opening odds for Game 2 of the 2025 Stanley Cup Final on DraftKings Sportsbook.

The betting line for Game 2 is very similar to the opening game of this series. The Oilers are slight favorites, this time at -125. The Panthers are +105 underdogs, and the goals total is set at O/U 6.5.

Edmonton are now -210 to win the Stanley Cup, while the Panthers odds have dropped to +180. Connor McDavid is now -130 to win the Conn Smythe trophy.
