The San Diego Padres beat the San Francisco Giants 1-0 in the 10th inning of yesterday’s game. Tonight, at 9:45 p.m. ET, the Padres look to even the series. San Diego has been on a hot streak, winning five of its previous eight games.
One of the Padres’ best players, Manny Machado, is having a great season, batting .302, with seven home runs and 27 RBIs. Here is my favorite prop bet for Machado against the Giants.
Manny Machado over 0.5 RBIs (+165)
Machado is leading the Padres in hits (65) while being second in batting average (.302) and third in RBIs (27). Although he has only had an RBI in one of his last four games, let’s dive deeper. He has reached this total in RBIs in six of his previous 10 contests. Getting Machado to record an RBI tonight against the Giants at +165 on DraftKings Sportsbook is a great play considering his upside.
Recently, Machado has been productive against the Giants. He has had more than 0.5 RBIs in seven of his last 10 matchups against San Francisco. In Machado’s lone matchup against Giants starter Landen Roupp this season, he finished with one RBI. Roupp has allowed three-plus runs in five of his last seven starts this year.
The Padres’ offense has been up and down lately, but they have shown they are capable of greatness. The Padres haven’t scored one or fewer runs in consecutive games over their previous 11 contests. After not getting on base or having a hit last night, Machado is due to make an impact. Machado has also recorded an RBI in three of his previous four games on the road.
