Logan Webb, San Francisco Giants vs. San Diego Padres, $9,700 – For the past few years, Webb has always been a better real-life pitcher than DFS asset, as he possessed elite ratios, but underwhelming strikeout totals. Well, that is no longer the case in 2025. Across 12 starts and 73.1 innings of work, Webb is flaunting a career-high 27.9% strikeout rate to go along with a 2.82 ERA and a 2.19 FIP — the best qualified mark in the National League. The veteran RHP has also maintained a sterling 1.39 ERA when pitching in San Francisco so far this season, as he’ll do tonight against the Padres. San Diego has not been swinging the bats well the past couple weeks, slashing just .202/.266/.345 as a team over the last 14 days. Those woes will likely continue versus Webb.

Luis Severino, Athletics vs. Minnesota Twins, $7,000 – Severino and Richard Fitts ($6,600) stand out as viable value assets on this slate, but with the latter likely still operating under a pitch count, the Athletics’ RHP is the clear choice. Severino had a couple bumpy outings in the early days of Sutter Health Park, but things have much better as of late. In fact, going back to April 13, Severino has pitched to an impressive 2.62 FIP, as he’s not allowed a single opponent home runs over 52.2 innings of action. I’d expect the good times will keep on going in a matchup with the Twins, who have cooled since their extended winning streak. In the last two weeks, Minnesota has just a .129 ISO and an 86 wRC+.
INFIELD

Shohei Ohtani, Los Angeles Dodgers vs. New York Mets, $6,500 – What do I really need to say? Ohtani enters play on June 2 ranking in the 100th percentile in the league in both expected slugging percentage (.732) and expected wOBA (.467). His 22 long balls are the most of any player in the National League. He’s pretty damn good. Paul Blackburn ($6,400) will be coming off the IL to make his 2025 debut for the Mets. In his career, Blackburn sports a 4.85 ERA. He’s faced Ohtani 12 times, giving up four hits, a homer and three walks. That’s a 1.472 OPS, for those wondering.

Elly De La Cruz, Cincinnati Reds vs. Milwaukee Brewers, $6,000 – After hitting 25 home runs in 696 plate appearances last year, De La Cruz appears to be on pace to smash his career-high in 2025. The former top prospect already has 12 in 260 PAs season, putting him on pace for well over 30 in the same sample. This info is especially relevant on Monday, as the Reds will face-off with Aaron Civale ($6,000) and the Brewers. Civale surrendered 29 long balls in 2024 — the seventh-most of any pitcher in MLB. Now, this season, he’s already conceded four in only 12.0 innings. The man is a home run machine.

Patrick Bailey, San Francisco Giants at San Diego Padres, $2,200 – This is the ultimate punt play at catcher. Is there a case to be made that Bailey’s been the worst offensive asset in baseball in 2025? There sure is. In fact, among players with at least 150 plate appearances, Bailey’s 43 wRC+ is the third-lowest mark in MLB. Still, he’s dirt cheap and he’s a switch-hitter. That’s enough to be viable when you also factor in positional eligibility and matchup. Stephen Kolek ($8,200) has been that awful in his past three starts, specifically against LHBs. The 43 he’s faced have combined to hit .405 with a .474 wOBA.
OUTFIELD

Rob Refsnyder, Boston Red Sox vs. Los Angeles Angels, $4,000 – Refsnyder remains one of the league’s better platoon bats, as the veteran utility man enters play on Monday slashing .314/.395/.714 with a 191 wRC+ against LHPs. This comes after Refsynder hit .302 with a .941 OPS versus southpaws across 145 plate appearances last season. Tyler Anderson ($7,200) and his 5.19 FIP might be wise to pitch carefully to the Boston outfielder this evening.

Sal Frelick, Milwaukee Brewers at Cincinnati Reds, $3,800 – Frelick had his seven-game hitting streak snapped on Sunday, but that doesn’t change the fact that the former first-round pick has been red-hot lately, as he’s collected 15 hits on his way to a .357 average over his last 10 games. Tonight, Frelick and the rest of the Brewers will see Brady Singer ($7,500), who is in possession of a ghastly 5.21 ERA since April 11. His biggest weakness in that span? Left-handed hitters. To wit, lefties have mashed 1.98 home runs per nine off Singer in his past nine outings. If Christian Yelich ($4,400; hand) isn’t available, Frelick is the next-best option.
