The New York Mets bested the Los Angeles Dodgers in two of three contests during their last series. With the rematch on deck now, the Metropolitans find themselves traveling to the West Coast for another battle against a World Series contender.

Here’s the top Juan Soto prop bet for Mets vs. Dodgers on Monday night.

Juan Soto over 0.5 RBIs (+170)

Soto hasn’t yet played up to his typical standards this season, nor has he met the expectations brought by the massive 15-year, $765 million contract he signed with the team this past offseason. The typically-great hitter slashes just .233/.363/.429 on the campaign through a sample size of 210 at-bats. All three marks are career-lows by a significant margin, especially his batting average and OBP. It actually marks the first season in which Soto hasn’t reached at least the .400 mark in the latter category, but there’s a lot of season left.

Still, the 26-year-old has seen some level of success in the RBIs category recently. Soto recorded at least one RBI in seven of his last 10 contests, and he had three during his prior series against the Dodgers. Despite his struggles at the plate this season, I do like him to continue this hot streak in the category. At +170 odds, it looks like pretty nice value for a player of his pedigree and ability to go off on any given night, so I’m riding the hot hand here.

My line of thinking here is only solidified with the pitching matchup. Dodgers righty Dustin May has a 4.20 ERA and 1.24 WHIP this season, but those numbers inflate to 5.59 and 1.45 over his last seven outings. With that in mind, I feel even better about Soto batting in a run in Monday night’s game.
