The NASCAR Cup Series Cracker Barrel 400 at Nashville is on Sunday night and DraftKings is offering a new way to play fantasy NASCAR. The game is simple. Kyle Larson: Fantasy Points – 58.5

What are we talking about? Practice? Larson didn’t have a strong Saturday. That’s Saturday, not Sunday. A bad day doesn’t mean a bad night. It’s possible Larson’s setup and session were slow because his car is optimized for the night race, not daytime practice. Results matter. Hot laps in practice don’t simulate races. Larson’s Nashville results—eighth, fifth, fourth and first—are a better indicator of his ability.
Some might hesitate to dismiss practice. That’s fair, but don’t overlook Larson’s achievements at intermediate tracks this season. Advanced stats favor Larson, and traditional stats back him as a Pick6 lock. His median finish is the second-best in the Cup Series. Larson wrecked at Darlington and Charlotte—nobody’s perfect. He won at Kansas and Homestead and finished fourth at Texas and ninth at Las Vegas in the season’s first 1.5-mile oval race. If Larson finishes fifth, leads a lap, or records a single fast lap, he could score 62 fantasy points.
Denny Hamlin: Fantasy Points – 65.5
Pick6 Play: Better
Track position is king. Track history matters. Let’s tackle track position first. Hamlin will start on the front row. He qualified well because he was among the quickest in practice. This isn’t surprising—Hamlin has racked up 36, 27 and 60 Hog Points (fast-lap and lap-led points) in the three Gen-7 races at Kansas. He has speed and will start up front at a track notorious for its lack of passing. Everyone wants action—unless they’re betting on Hamlin. The NASCAR Nashville race could easily be a snooze, a sleepy Sunday night rather than a rockin’ Honky Tonk. Even Nashvegas needs a day of rest once in a while. Even if Hank Williams Jr. and his rowdy friends show up, Hamlin’s position up front and top pit stall should keep him clear of the bar fight.

Enter an Amount
Once you finalize your Pick Set, choose your entry fee amount. Your entries will be automatically distributed into available contests, subject to your confirmation.

When the games go live, use the My Picks tab to follow your picks in real time to track how your players are performing against their projections and how they stack up against other users.
Compete for Prizes
Make enough correct picks and win a share of the contests’ guaranteed prizes. Any prizes won will be credited to your DraftKings account after contests are finalized.
