The 2025 NBA Finals matchup is set, as the Indiana Pacers will take on the OKC Thunder with Game 1 set for Thursday evening. Along with the Larry O’Brien trophy, the Bill Russell NBA Finals MVP Award will be up for grabs in this series. Let’s take a look at the odds to win NBA Finals MVP on DraftKings Sportsbook.

The Thunder are massive favorites in this series, so it’s no surprise to see the regular season MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as the clear frontrunner for this award. A championship and Finals MVP would put the cherry on top of a legendary season. Tyrese Haliburton is the favorite to win the award for Indiana, while ECF MVP Pascal Siakam has the third-best odds. Below is my favorite pick for this market on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Tyrese Haliburton to win 2025 NBA Finals MVP (+700)
SGA is the obvious choice here, but at -600 odds I will stay far away. I think the Pacers have a chance to win this series, even though the oddsmakers seem to disagree. If they are able to pull off the upset, Haliburton is the logical choice for MVP. Although Siakam won the ECF MVP, it was only by one vote as Siakam received five while Haliburton received four.
Siakam had three 30+ point games, while Haliburton was pretty consistent across the series apart from Game 5, and hit the game-tying shot in the crucial Game 1 victory. I think Haliburton will step up in this series in terms of scoring the basketball, which they will need if they want a chance of beating the Thunder. At a whopping +700 odds, I will take the best player for the Eastern Conference Champions.
