MLB Prop Bets for Friday, May 30, 2025

Boston Red Sox at Atlanta Braves – Both teams to score 2+ runs through the first five innings +125

The Red Sox and Braves are poised for a high-scoring game early on. The pitching matchup pits Lucas Giolito (Red Sox) against Grant Holmes (Braves), both prone to giving up home runs. Holmes has allowed 10 homers, with a 1.5 HR/9, while Giolito has surrendered five in five starts, with a 1.6 HR/9. Winds will blow toward left-center at 10–12 mph tonight, favoring hitters. Giolito, in particular, has been as bad as advetised, as his 5.27 ERA is algined with his 5.06 xERA. Given both pitchers’ struggles, expect a flurry of runs early in this game.

Corbin Caroll 3+ H/R/RBI -105

This is an excellent matchup for Corbin Carroll against Nationals starter Jake Irvin. Irvin struggles against lefties, allowing 37 hits, 16 for extra bases. He relies heavily on his curveball (37%) and four-seamer (32%), but Carroll has thrived against both this season, posting a .388 wOBA against curveballs and a .594 wOBA against four-seamers. With the Diamondbacks’ team total at 5.5 runs, one of the highest tonight, Carroll has a strong chance to drive in or score a run. He’s also one of my picks to hit a home run for tonight’s King of the Diamond promotion on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Max Fried under 17.5 outs recorded +125

Max Fried is a regression candidate, as his 1.29 ERA contrasts sharply with his 3.35 xERA. While a 3.35 ERA is solid, Fried hasn’t been as dominant as his surface stats suggest. Tonight, he faces a potent Dodgers offense, particularly strong against lefties, with a .342 wOBA and 119 wRC+ this season. Fried leans heavily on his four-seam fastball (45% usage), but the projected Dodgers lineup has a .389 wOBA and .228 ISO against that pitch.

Good luck with these MLB picks tonight!
