It’s officially the best time of the year, as NFL Best Ball is back on DraftKings.
This format gives players a chance to draft a fantasy football team for a season-long competition that requires no active in-season management, but still provides a full season of drama and competition.

26. Isiah Pacheco, Kansas City Chiefs
Pacheco could end up being the steal of drafts this summer. Right now his ADP is sitting at 88.5, which is the beginning of the eighth round. Pacheco is just two years removed from posting 1,179 scrimmage yards and nine touchdowns for KC, and was going in the third round of drafts last year.
The former seventh-round pick broke his fibula in Week 2 last year and missed 11 weeks before ultimately returning as a shell of himself. With a full offseason to recover and the Chiefs doing nothing besides re-signing plodder Kareem Hunt, and bringing in oft-injured Elijah Mitchell — both to one year deals — this will be Pacheco’s backfield if he still has juice.
Kansas City will be welcoming Rashee Rice back into the fold to bookend Xavier Worthy and Hollywood Brown, so this offense could operate a whole lot smoother in 2025, making Pacheco is a smash at this current price.
34. Najee Harris, Los Angeles Chargers
It’s never actually fun to write up Najee Harris. He’s not really that talented, and watching him pound into the offensive line for two yards every play can be maddening to watch. Having said that, coaches love him because he’s extremely durable and is very good in pass protection. Durable is actually an understatement, as Harris has not missed a single game in his four-year career thus far, which is actually quite impressive.
He went over 1,000 yards last season for the fourth year in a row in 2024, and it obviously caught the eye of Jim Harbaugh, because the Chargers signed him to be their lead back early in the offseason. They would go on to draft Omarion Hampton in the first round of this year’s draft, which dims Harris’ outlook a bit, but that’s already well baked into his 105.5 ADP.
Harris will likely open the year as the starter and cede touches to Hampton as the season goes on. However, it’s no guarantee that he does not remain the goal line back for the entire season, even with Hampton fully acclimated, which would make this ADP extremely palatable.
42. Austin Ekeler, Washington Commanders
Ekeler was made for DraftKings best ball, because we simply do not know which games he’s going to hit, but we do know that his pass-catching prowess makes him a legit threat to find our lineups every week. Last year he went over double-digit fantasy points in eight-of-12 games, and even missed four contests due to a concussion.
Attached to one of the most promising offenses in football, the Commanders should be in scoring position a lot with Jayden Daniels entering his second year and the team’s acquisition of Deebo Samuel. Brian Robinson Jr. is an extremely average back at best, so if Ekeler can stay healthy in 2025, he can siphon off a nice bit of work for himself. Right now he is going at pick 152, which is the end of the 13th round. He could smash that ADP, without question.
