After a close contest last time out, the Oklahoma City Thunder head back home to the Great Plains with a 3-1 series lead and firm control of the Western Conference Finals. As they sit just one game away from the franchise’s first NBA Finals appearance since 2012, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder look to dispatch the Minnesota Timberwolves in front of the home crowd and punch their ticket to the endgame.
Here are the best Gilgeous-Alexander prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Thunder vs. Timberwolves Game 5.
Best Shai Gilgeous-Alexander prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
With their 3-1 series lead and momentum on their side, the Thunder are 8.5-point favorites with -340 odds on the Moneyline for Game 5. The Timberwolves hold +270 odds to win outright with the game total set at 220.5 combined points.
DraftKings Sportsbook lists Gilgeous-Alexander’s prop lines at 32.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 7.5 assists, and 1.5 three-pointers. His combined PTS + REB + AST line is set at 45.5 across the three major categories.
In a 15-game sample this postseason, Gilgeous-Alexander averages 29.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 6.9 assists per contest. Last time out, he posted a gargantuan 40-point, 10-assist, nine-rebound performance as he flirted with a triple-double but ultimately fell just short in the win.
Under 7.5 assists didn’t cash for SGA last game, but I’m comfortable targeting it again in Game 5 here. He’s only exceeded that line in six of 15 playoff games over this run, and while he racks up a handful of assists since he’s such a ball-dominant player, Gilgeous Alexander clearly remains a score-first guard. In a closeout situation here, I fully expect him to follow up on his 40-point performance and tack on plenty of points while falling closer to his typical playmaking production under this 7.5-dime line. Check it out at -120 odds.
Similarly, under 45.5 PTS + AST + REB feels quite safe, as well. SGA has exceeded that line in just five of 15 playoff appearances thus far, and outside of his scoring, he doesn’t usually stuff the stat sheet in the other categories. At -105 odds, this under almost looks better than the assists prop bet does.
