Here are my top MLB DFS picks for tonight’s slate on action on the diamond.

SP Hunter Greene, Cincinnati Reds at Kansas City Royals, $9,000
Greene wasn’t exactly himself in his first start off the IL last week, but he did throw 83 pitches in that loss to the Cubs, which means he should be relatively clear of a pitch count on Wednesday. It totality, the right-hander is in the midst of another phenomenal season, sporting a 2.54 ERA and a 2.70 xERA across 49.2 innings of work. Greene has always been a flame-throwing strikeout artist, and that trend has carried over into 2025, with Greene in possession of an elite 32.6% strikeout rate. However, it’s been his jump in command that’s been the real difference. Where Greene once posted a walk rate above 9.0% in each of his first three years with the Reds, that figure is just 5.2% in his nine starts this season. He’s a bonafide ace and it’s a privilege to get him in DFS with a price this far below $10,000.
Let’s not overlook how amazing this matchup is, either. Kansas City does employ Bobby Witt Jr. ($5,900), but there are no other hitters on this roster to fear. The Royals currently sit 29th in the MLB in ISO (.115) and 27th in wRC+ (82). Needless to say, they are not the type of opponent that I expect will give Greene many issues.
C Cal Raleigh, Seattle Mariners vs. Washington Nationals, $5,300
I’m not usually one to spend up at catcher — unless that catcher is Cal Raleigh. After hitting a career-high 34 home runs last season, Raleigh is on pace to shatter that personal best, with 19 long balls in just 231 plate appearances so far in 2025. For those keeping track at home, that’s the most in the American League and only one back of Shohei Ohtani. That’s some pretty good company. Among qualified hitters, Raleigh’s .345 ISO is the third-highest mark in MLB. His 179 wRC+ ranks fifth. He’s not simply a backstop that can hit, he’s one of the league’s top batters.
Tonight, the switch-hitter will square-off with Trevor Williams ($6,200). While Williams’ underlying stats suggest that he’s been better than his 6.39 ERA would indicate, the veteran has been absolutely destroyed by LHBs in 2025, giving up 2.13 opponent home runs per nine and a .435 wOBA within the split. Raleigh should feast in this spot.
OF Wyatt Langford, Texas Rangers vs. Toronto Blue Jays, $4,900
There are a lot of people to blame for how poor the Rangers’ offense has looked through two months, but Langford isn’t one of them. The sophomore doesn’t just have a 123 wRC+ this season, but he also leads all Texas players in both home runs (10) and stolen bases (10). It takes some talent to pull off that statistical combo.
On Wednesday, Langford and the Rangers will face what should likely amount to a bullpen game from the Blue Jays. Paxton Schultz ($4,000) will open, but we will surely see a lot of the left-handed Eric Lauer ($6,000) in a bulk role. That’s music to the ears of Langford. In 170 career plate appearances against LHPs, Langford owns a .271 ISO and an .872 OPS. The former fourth-overall pick is dangerous in the batter’s box.
