MLB Best Bets: Top Kyle Tucker player props for Cubs vs. Rockies on 5/28/25

The 34-21 Chicago Cubs sit just a couple games shy of the MLB’s best record. Sitting 8-2 over their last 10 contests with plenty of home runs over that span, the Cubbies truly look like one of the league’s most exciting young teams — if the offense keeps firing and they can shore up the pitching staff, a deep playoff run may even enter the cards.

On Wednesday evening, they host the lowly Colorado Rockies at Wrigley Field. Here’s the top Kyle Tucker prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for the contest.

Tucker started the season in scorching fashion but has since cooled off a little bit, though his numbers still look quite impressive. The lefty batter’s slash line reads .285/.390/.533 with an OPS of .922. His process at the plate looks fantastic with 38 walks to 31 strikeouts. To top it off, his 39 RBIs and 12 home runs each rank ninth in the NL. He’s healthy, he’s mashing, and he’s the top dog for a great Cubs squad in his first season with the organization.

Tonight, Tucker faces Rockies starter Tanner Gordon. The right-handed hurler has just two appearances to his name this season with a 4.38 ERA 1.38 WHIP, three walks, and nine strikeouts over 12.1 innings of work. Opposing batters hit .286 against him so far this year, though the sample size remains small. In eight games last year, though, he tallied an 8.65 ERA and 1.72 WHIP while allowing a .356 AVG, so there’s not much to be afraid of for the Cubs.

With the pitching matchup in mind, I like over 1.5 total bases for Tucker in this contest. Whether it’s through multiple singles or an extra base hit — which Tucker has 25 of, on pace for a career-high — I feel very confident the slugger will touch multiple bags tonight. He’s among the best in the business, hands down, so the -110 odds make this an easy call. As a slight lean, I also like 1+ RBIs at +140 odds on DraftKings Sportsbook.
