The Timberwolves are looking to keep their season alive against the Thunder.
Here are the best player props to consider for Anthony Edwards on DraftKings Sportsbook for Game 5.
Best Anthony Edwards Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
The Timberwolves are 8.5-point underdogs against the Thunder, with an o/u of 220.5. Here are the latest lines for Edwards on DraftKings Sportsbook: o/u 27.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 3.5 three-pointers.
Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves are fighting for their playoff lives on Wednesday night. They trail the Thunder 3-1 in the Western Conference Finals and will need to find a way to steal a game in Oklahoma City to stay alive. For the Timberwolves to win on the road against the Thunder, it will take a heroic performance from Anthony Edwards. In the Timberwolves’ only win of this series, Anthony Edwards put on an incredible performance. He had 30 points and 6 assists, shooting 12/17 from the floor and 5/8 from beyond the arc. He was hot from distance, and able to get into the lane and create his own shot or dish it to his teammates. As a team, the Timberwolves scored 143 points in that game, which was a miraculous feat against this Thunder team given that OKC has been historically good on the defensive end this postseason.
In Game 4, it was a different story for Anthony Edwards. He shot 1/7 from behind the three-point line in the close loss for Minnesota. That inconsistency shooting the ball has been Edwards’ issue this postseason. His 1/7 three-point shooting night in Game 4 was eerily similar to his 1/9 three-point shooting night in Game 2. Against Golden State, Edwards shot the ball great from beyond the arc, and that is when he and Minnesota are at their most dangerous. Edwards is one of the best slashers in the league, so when defenders need to rush out on him to prevent the three-ball, he becomes nearly unstoppable. Another part of the issue is that the Timberwolves’ supporting cast has struggled in recent games. Through the first two series, Julius Randle was one of the best players in the postseason, but he has completely fallen off a cliff. Randle only had five points in Game 4, and his lack of contribution is making life much harder for Edwards.
My favorite prop bet for Anthony Edwards in Game 5 is for Edwards to have under 27.5 points. Down 3-1 in the series, heading on the road to Oklahoma City, is a demoralizing spot for the Timberwolves to be. The Oklahoma City crowd will be out of control as their team looks to clinch a spot in the NBA Finals. The Thunder should feed off of that and put in a top-level defensive performance. In the two games in Oklahoma City this series, the Timberwolves have averaged just 95.5 points per game. The Thunder defense is swarming at home, and with the lack of other options in the Minnesota offense over the last several games, they will be all over Anthony Edwards. They know that if they stop Edwards in this game, they will make the NBA Finals.
