Do you like baseball? I hope so. Because there’s a whole lot of it going on tonight.
In fact, there’s 22 teams and 11 games on the featured MLB DFS slate this evening on DraftKings. That means so many options when trying to put together some lineups.
Allow me to assist. Here are my top three DFS picks for Tuesday’s action on the diamond.

SP Cade Horton, Chicago Cubs vs. Colorado Rockies, $8,000
What’s the opposite of Coors Field? How about Wrigley on a day where the wind is blowing in. Those are the exact conditions that Horton will take the mound for in his fourth start of the season. The first 14.1 innings at the MLB level have been somewhat forgettable for the former seventh-overall pick, as Horton’s maintained a 4.40 ERA and has only struck out 10. However, I think we’re all aware that there’s more upside to be had with the rookie. For instance, in Horton’s six starts at Triple-A in 2025, the 23-year-old registered a 1.24 ERA with 33 strikeouts in just 29.0 innings. He’s more than capable of being a DFS darling.
Still, let’s not bury the lede here. Matchup has as much to do with Horton’s viability on this slate as anything else. Overall, the Rockies combine the league’s lowest team batting average (.219) with its worst wRC+ (66). When you isolate Colorado’s numbers outside of Coors? Things somehow get even worse. With the split, the Rockies are slashing .194/.258/.309 with a 58 wRC+. Colorado also own MLB’s highest strikeout rate on the road at 28.5%. You can not script a better opponent for a pitcher.
OF Corbin Carroll, Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Pittsburgh Pirates, $6,300
Corbin’s in the middle of a slump. There’s no two ways about it. Coming into tonight’s tilt with Mike Burrows ($5,500) and the Pirates, the former Rookie of the Year winner doesn’t have a hit since May 21. That ends this evening.
For 2025 as a whole, Carroll has absolutely demolished right-handed pitching. In 168 plate appearances within the split, Carroll has managed a .946 OPS to go along with a .347 ISO and a 156 wRC+. Among batters with at least 100 plate appearances this season versus RHPs, Carroll is tied for the 18th-highest expected wOBA (.408). Needless to say, Burrows is at a disadvantage in this matchup. Burrows also has some serious issues keeping the ball in the park. At the Triple-A level since 2023, Burrows has allowed a whopping 1.99 opponent home runs per nine. That red flag was very apparent last week in his first outing with the Pirates, as the rookie surrendered a pair of long balls in only five innings of work.
OF Alejandro Osuna, Texas Rangers vs. Toronto Blue Jays, $2,500
Osuna has proven little at the MLB level, though he is coming off registering his first career-hit in Monday’s 2-1 loss to Kevin Gausman. Still, at this microscopic price tag, Osuna is a great option tonight against Bowden Francis ($5,700) and the Blue Jays, as he’ll be batting fifth in Texas’ lineup. That’s how much Francis has struggled with LHBs.
It has been a rough season for the 29-year-old, as Francis comes into Tuesday in possession of a 5.54 ERA and a 6.49 FIP that is by far the highest mark among the 94 men who have thrown at least 50 innings so far in 2025. That’s what’ll happen when you’ve surrendered more home runs that any other pitcher in MLB (15). Lefties have been the biggest source of Francis’ woes, as the 129 he’s faced have combined for 12 long balls and an eye-popping .640 slugging percentage. Woof.
