Jalen Brunson and the Knicks kept their season alive by stealing Game 3 from the Pacers on Sunday night. New York inexplicably dropped both games at home to start the series and was trailing by 20 points in the first half of Game 3. The Knicks came back from another massive deficit, something they have done multiple times this postseason. Now the Knicks have the momentum and can steal Game 4 to level the series before heading back to New York for Game 5.
One of the most surprising aspects of the Knicks’ Game 3 win was the lack of involvement from Jalen Brunson. Brunson has been on a historic run this postseason, putting up obscene offensive numbers. However, the Knicks went on several big runs in Game 3 with Brunson off the floor. Brunson only played 31 minutes, the fewest amount of minutes he has played in a game all postseason. After making five three-pointers in Game 2 and just one in Game 3, Brunson should be due for positive regression and get over 29.5 points in Game 4.
