Ohtani actually has a solid batting average against lefties this season, and getting him at plus money for just 2+ total bases is a nice prop to attack this Saturday.
He is 24-for-66 (.364) in the split with six doubles, two triples, two homers and a .428 wOBA against lefties on the year. He only had one total base on Friday in five at-bats but has multiple total bases in seven of his last 11 games and 13 of his last 19.
During those 19 games, Ohtani has a 68.3% hard-hit rate and 25.4% barrel rate. He has a batted ball event of at least 99+ miles per hour in each of those 19 games with an average exit velocity of 96.8 miles per hour.
Whether you’re familiar with all the exit velocity numbers or not, he’s crushing the ball on a nightly basis, and all he needs is to find a gap once or get a pair of singles to go over this total base prop this Saturday. Don’t be afraid of the lefty-lefty matchup because Ohtani’s swinging well enough to still be an excellent play in this prop on Saturday.
