After two significant victories over the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Oklahoma City Thunder will look to take a commanding 3-0 series lead tonight at 8:30 p.m. ET. The Thunder are currently 78-17 on the season, including the playoffs, and continue to chase greatness.
The Thunder’s second-best player, Jalen Williams, has been crucial in the team’s first two wins against the Timberwolves. He is averaging 20.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per game in the playoffs. Here is my favorite prop bet for Williams in Game 3 against the Timberwolves.
Jalen Williams over 1.5 three-pointers (-125)
Since Williams’ scoring has been inconsistent in the playoffs, let’s look at a different area. Even though he isn’t known for three-point shooting, it is the x-factor in his game. He has hit two-plus threes in two of his last three games and eight of 13 this postseason. Getting Williams to hit this mark tonight at -125 on DraftKings Sportsbook is a great play considering his recent shooting stretch.
Williams has attempted at least four three-pointers in six of his last seven games, which is usually a recipe for his success. Also, in his previous nine matchups against the Wolves, Williams has hit two or more threes five times. For Game 3, Williams’ over/under in points is set at 20.5, which he has only hit twice in his previous six games.
In the playoffs, Williams has had success shooting the ball from deep on the road, hitting this total in three of five games. Williams has looked more comfortable shooting three-pointers throughout the postseason and is in a good spot to make two three-pointers in his second straight game tonight.
