Yes, that’s correct. A Collier under is the best bet for tonight’s Lynx vs. Sun game. It’s hard to believe considering Collier has hit the mark in two of the first three games and is off to an incredible start to the season.
There’s nothing to dispute there, however, this is an incredibly easy matchup for the Lynx. They’re 16-point favorites and should cover this spread at home. This could be a blowout early, limiting Collier’s minutes tonight.
If that’s the case, it will be difficult for her to hit the over on her 24.5 points line. In nine games that she played less than 31 minutes last year, Collier topped 24.5 points just once. Collier also scored over 24.5 points in 10 of 34 regular season games last year.
While Collier is bound for another phenomenal year — perhaps her best yet — I’m tempering expectations tonight in a likely blowout. Stick with the under. It’s not always fun, but neither is taking the over when a player is done for the night after three quarters.
