His OBP also paces all batters at an unreal 1.229 while he paces the league with 74 hits, 16 home runs, and sits second in RBIs and runs with 44 and 52 each. There’s simply no stopping him right now — opposing pitchers can only hope and pray when the 6-foot-7 standout steps up to the plate.
Everyone knows the reputation Coors Field holds as one of the MLB’s most hitter-friendly parks. The Denver altitude puts a little extra pop on the ball with good contact, and there’s no shortage of that where Judge is concerned.
The pitching matchup also looks like a soft one for the Yankees’ batters. Tanner Gordon takes the mound with only nine career starts to his name.
