The second Grand Slam of the tennis calendar, the French Open, kicks off this Sunday, May 25th, in Paris, France. Here are the opening odds to win the event for both the men’s and women’s side.
World No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz is the betting favorite at +110 on DraftKings Sportsbook, and will be looking for his second French Open title and fourth Grand Slam overall. The Spaniard is the defending champion at this event, defeating Alexander Zverev last year in five sets: 6–3, 2–6, 5–7, 6–1, 6–2. At just 22 years of age, he is already on the fast track to becoming the next Rafael Nadal.
World No. 1 Jannik Sinner is looking for his third-career Grand Slam title, and second of 2025, after taking home his second-career Australian Open back in January. Sinner reached the semis of the French Open last year, but was bested by Alcaraz in five sets. He’s the second favorite to win this year’s French at +210.
Things are a little bit more open on the women’s side of things.
Despite ranking fifth in the world, Iga Swiatek will be looking for her fifth-career French Open title. She is the defending champion at Roland Garros and has won this event each of the past three years. She also won here back in 2020 for her first-career Grand Slam. Overall, she has five Slams to her name. The Polish star is the second favorite on DraftKings this year at +350.
World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka is the betting favorite at +260, and will be looking for her fourth-career Grand Slam and first French Open. Sabalenka has two Australian Open wins along with one U.S. Open to her name at age 27. Her best finish at Roland Garros came in in 2023 when she reached the semifinals.
