The Timberwolves are looking to steal a game in Oklahoma City before heading back to Minnesota.
Here are the best player props to consider for Anthony Edwards on DraftKings Sportsbook for Game 2.
Best Anthony Edwards Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
The Timberwolves are 7.5-point underdogs against the Thunder, with an o/u of 216.5. Here are the latest lines for Edwards on DraftKings Sportsbook: o/u 25.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 3.5 three-pointers.
Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves need to turn in a good performance in Game 2 against the Thunder. Game 1 was tight early on, with the Timberwolves actually holding a narrow halftime lead. However, the Thunder dominated the second half, particularly on the defensive end. Oklahoma City won the second half by 30 points, getting it done on both ends of the floor. Julius Randle was cooking in the first half, with Anthony Edwards taking more of a backseat offensively. However, the Thunder’s defense dug their claws in after halftime and didn’t allow any offensive flow for Minnesota. The Timberwolves were forced to take contested jump shots, and they clearly started to lose their confidence as the game went on. If Minnesota wants to compete in this series, they at least need to find something in Game 2, even if they don’t end up winning.
It will be really hard to win a game in Oklahoma City. Minnesota is still more than capable of taking care of business at home, but if they put another performance like the second half of Game 1, it could be difficult to rally from that. The Thunder drained the life out of the Timberwolves in the second half and made it seem like they could completely shut them down whenever they flip that switch. Frankly, Anthony Edwards was not good enough in that game. Julius Randle was the main offensive threat for Minnesota early on, and once he was really rolling, the Thunder pivoted their defensive strategy to shut down Randle. Once they switched their attention from Edwards to Randle, the Minnesota offense disappeared. Oklahoma City has been the best defensive team this postseason after being the best defensive team all regular season, measured by defensive rating. That unit has been an impossible code to crack in 2024-25, and Edwards will need to do something heroic to win this Game 2 for Minnesota.
My favorite Anthony Edwards prop for this game is for him to score under 25.5 points. Edwards only scored 18 points in Game 1, and he has scored under 25.5 points in five of his past seven games. He has not shot the ball particularly well this postseason, and despite being the clear superstar of this team in the regular season, he is only averaging one more point per game than Julius Randle in the postseason. Edwards has some 40-point explosions buoying his points per game this postseason, but he has only scored more than 25 points in four out of 11 games so far. The Thunder have so many different guys they can throw at Edwards, from Alex Caruso to Lu Dort to Jalen Williams to Cason Wallace, there is always a fresh body to take on the assignment. It will be hard for Edwards to slash the way that he wants to and get to the rim, and the way he shot from the field in Game 1 was not promising. The Thunder should slow him down again and keep him under his points prop.
