Satou Sabally Best Prop Bets for Mercury vs. Sparks on Wednesday 5/21/25

After spending the first five seasons with the Dallas Wings, Satou Sabally was traded to the Phoenix Mercury this offseason. The two-time All-Star announced her presence to her new fan base in the season opener, scoring 27 points and six rebounds in the 22-point victory. Sabally and the Mercury will prepare for their second matchup of the season by facing the LA Sparks tonight.

The Mercury are 5.5-point favorites and hold -230 odds on the moneyline on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Sparks hold +190 odds of pulling off the upset with the game total set at 161 points.

Here is my favorite Satou Sabally prop bet for Wednesday’s Mercury vs. Sparks matchup.

Satou Sabally to Record 8+ Rebounds (+110)

While her scoring stole the spotlight, Satou Sabally’s rebounding abilities will end up being a major part of her impact on this Mercury team. Standing 6-foot-4, Sabally has averaged as many as 8.1 rebounds per game over a season and is averaging 7.0 per game in her career.

The Oregon product pulled in six rebounds in her Mercury debut despite being limited to 26 minutes of play due to the nature of the 22-point blowout. This ranked third on the team behind Alyssa Thomas and Alexis Prince, who pulled in seven and eight rebounds, respectively. Prince saw 22 minutes, which was aided by the blowout, and is not expected to see as significant of a role on an every-night basis.

Sabally averaged 6.4 rebounds per game last year, well below the 8.1 rebounds she produced the year before. Even still, Sabally tallied eight or more rebounds in four of the 15 games she played after tallying 8+ rebounds in 19 of the 38 games the year prior. She recorded as many as 16 rebounds in an individual game. Now on the Mercury, expect Sabally’s importance as a rebounder to grow once again.

While Thomas will continue to make her impact felt as a rebounder, the Mercury are a bit shorthanded overall. In addition, the Sparks rank dead last in rebounds per game as a team with 28.0 through their opening two games. It is still incredibly early in the season to have any serious takeaways from this, but the absence of Cameron Brink as she continues to recover from her torn ACL has been notable.

Sabally’s standard rebounding prop is set at 6.5 with the over favored at -154 odds on DraftKings Sportsbook. Rather than pay this steep price, I like Sabally’s odds of recording at least eight rebounds tonight. Look for her to build off the solid start to her Mercury career and for Sabally to see more than 26 minutes on the floor tonight, with this expected to be a closer matchup.
