The WNBA is back in full swing with three games on the schedule tonight. To kick things off at 8:00 p.m. ET, the Minnesota Lynx host the Dallas Wings as Paige Bueckers continues to settle in at the professional level.
Bueckers has suited up for two games in the WNBA thus far. She was limited to 10 points, seven rebounds, and two assists in her debut, shooting 3-for-10 from the field. The former UConn star then dropped 19 points, eight assists, and five rebounds in her second game, but will be searching for her first professional win tonight as they face Minnesota.
The Lynx are 11.5-point favorites and hold -650 odds on the Moneyline on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Wings hold +470 odds of pulling off the upset with the game total set at 168.5 points.
Here is my favorite Paige Bueckers prop bet for Wednesday’s Wings vs. Lynx matchup.
Best Paige Bueckers Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
Paige Bueckers Under 14.5 Points (-110)
Bueckers entered the WNBA following one of the most decorated collegiate careers of all time, but is still finding her footing at the professional level. The NCAA Champion and four-time NCAA All-Tournament team honoree has produced scoring outputs of 10 and 19 points thus far, shooting a collective 10-for-24 (41.7%) from the floor and just 1-for-4 from beyond the three-point arc.
While the professional level is a completely different ballgame, Bueckers averaged 19.9 points per game or greater in three of her four collegiate seasons. She has logged 29:52 and 36:48 across the opening two games of the season, but Bueckers has not looked her normal confident self. There has not been any noticeable chemistry between her and Arike Ogunbowale and the team has a lot to figure out. The latter, a former All-Star is struggling in a major way, averaging just 12.0 points per game and shooting 23.1% from the field.
On top of this, it will be a difficult matchup against the Lynx tonight. Napheesa Collier and company are off to a 2-0 start, including the season-opening win coming against this same Wings team. The Lynx produced a convincing 99-84 victory with the lead building to as large as 21 points during the matchup.
Dallas has struggled greatly offensively and ranks 10th in offensive rating through the early stages of this season. It is going to take Bueckers and this Wings team some time to figure things out, and the Lynx, ranking second in championship odds in DraftKings Sportsbook, do not provide the best route to playing through these struggles. Don’t sell your Paige Bueckers stock in the long run since she will settle in, but in the short term, expect her struggles to continue and be held to less than 14.5 points against their legitimate title-threat opponents tonight. Count on the Lynx defense winning the battle and for a conscious effort to be made to prevent the future star from getting going.
