MLB Prop Bets for Tuesday, May 20, 2025
Francisco Lindor over 2+ bases +100
Lindor is well-positioned tonight against Red Sox starter Walker Buehler. This season against lefties, Buehler has posted a .347 wOBA and a 4.25 FIP, while allowing two of the five home runs he’s given up. Buehler has a diverse pitch arsenal, but he primarily relies on fastball variations. Accounting for 60% of his pitches, Buehler throws a four-seam fastball, cutter, and sinker. Lindor doesn’t falter against any of these, posting at least a .337 wOBA and a .190 ISO against each since last season. Lindor has recorded at least two bases in 47% of his games in 2025.
Atlanta Braves over 4.5 runs -120
After a strong start in April, Mitchell Parker has fallen off a cliff in May. Through 12.2 innings this month, Parker has a 9.24 ERA with a .365 wOBA and a 5.6 BB/9 (walks per nine innings). For comparison, he had a 2.65 ERA with a .253 wOBA through 37.1 innings in March and April. Tonight, he’ll face a Braves team that hits fastballs from lefties very well. Parker throws that pitch 57% of the time, and while opposing hitters have only a .209 batting average against it, the xBA (expected batting average) jumps to .277, with an xwOBA of .382. The Nationals’ bullpen has also been a sore spot lately, which will allow the Braves ample opportunities to exceed the run total.
Dylan Cease over 5.5 strikeouts -110
Dylan Cease has been posting stellar strikeout numbers this season. Through 47 innings, he has an 11.11 K/9 (strikeouts per nine innings), the second-best mark of his career. His swing-and-miss rate of 15.5% is a career high. The Blue Jays aren’t typically a team I target for strikeout props, but with Cease’s arsenal, I’m comfortable doing so. His slider, which accounts for 55% of his pitches, generates a 37% swing-and-miss rate. The Blue Jays’ expected lineup for tonight has a 24.5% strikeout rate against right-handed pitchers this season through 173 plate appearances.
