Golf Best Bets: Top Finishing Position Props for the Charles Schwab Challenge

For the fourth and final time this season, the PGA TOUR heads to the state of Texas this week for the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club (par 70, 7,289 yards, bentgrass greens) in Fort Worth. This course has hosted this event since it’s inception in 1946 and there will be 135 golfers competing and a top 65 and ties cut after the first two rounds.

Below, I have featured some finishing position bets to consider for the Charles Schwab Challenge.

Harry Hall for a top 30 finish (+150)

Hall finished T3 at Colonial two years ago and he is on the heels of a T19 finish at the PGA Championship last week, which is his best major finish to date. Hall gained strokes with both his irons and putter at Quail Hollow Club, and this marked his seventh top 30 finish in 15 starts this season. Hall has finished inside top 20 in two of his three starts in Texas in 2025 and he has been one of the best putters on the PGA TOUR this season, ranking sixth in SGP. Hall also ranks fourth in par four performance, making him a perfect match for Colonial.

Each of the last seven winners at this Texas track have finished the event top seven in both par four efficiency and SGP, and Hall is a safe wager for a top 30 finish this week.

Gary Woodland for a top 40 finish (+100)

Coming off a missed cut at the PGA Championship, Woodland is in a great position to bounce back at Colonial. The former U.S. Open champion has finished inside the top 15 in two of his five starts at this Texas course and he ranks 15th in SG APP when we analyze this field’s last 50 rounds, which is great news for Colonial, where four of the last five winners at this track have finished the tournament top eight in SG APP.

Plus, Woodland’s best finish this season came in the lone star state, when he finished runner-up at the Texas Children’s Houston Open in March. Woodland ranks 13th in strokes gained per round when we compare this field’s histories in Texas and the 40-year-old has finished inside the top 40 in five of his 12 starts this season. Another top 40 finish is absolutely on the table for Woodland this week and he is great bet for this feat at this plus-money price.
