2025 PGA Championship Round 3 Live Updates

It’s moving day at the second major championship of the PGA season. Quail Hollow Club has already provided plenty of highlights, thrills and spills over the first two rounds of play, but now that we’re past the cut, we can really get serious about who will be in contention to claim the Wanamaker Trophy this year.

Throughout the day this Saturday, we’ll provide live updates on the latest from Charlotte, North Carolina, at Quail Hollow Club. We’ll also keep a close eye on the top of the leaderboard in the PGA $2.75M FANTASY GOLF MILLIONAIRE [$1M TO 1ST], that will award a million dollar top prize at the end of Sunday’s Final Round.

Here’s the latest:

Scheffler Takes Full Control (7:21)

Since making an eagle on the 14th hole to regain the outright lead, Scheffler put his foot on the gas. He birdied 15, 17 and 18 to get to 11-under par and take a three-shot lead over Alex Noren.

Scheffler Bounces Back with the Shot of the Day (5:52)

After bogeying No. 13 to fall out of the lead, Scheffler stepped to the tee at the driveable par-4 14th hole with something to prove. Unlike Bryson, who dunked a shot of the tee after his bogey, Scheffler scalded his drive to within three feet.

Scheffler converted the eagle, but while he was working on that, Alex Noren birdied his final hole of the day and finished at -8, which right now has him tied with Scheffler for the lead, while Scottie has four holes remaining.

Scheffler and DeChambeau Giving Back Shots (5:52)

Bryson was bogey-free through 15 holes and had the solo lead but bogeyed No. 16 and double-bogeyed No. 17 to drop to T10.

At the same time, Scheffler hit his tee shot into a bunker in No. 13 and wasn’t able to recover, making bogey to drop to T4.

With those two superstars giving up strokes, the three left tied at the top are Jhonattan Vegas, Davis Riley and Alex Noren.

Bryson Bogeys and Falls Back Into Five-Way Tie (5:42)

Just one hole after taking the solo lead, Bryson DeChambeau bogeyed No. 16 and dropped back into a five-way tie with Scottie Scheffler, Jhonattan Vegas, Davis Riley and the hard-charging Alex Noren.

Vegas and Scheffler still have more holes ahead of them then the rest of the leaders but the course is playing very difficult down the stretch, so that may not mean they have birdie chances remaining.

The leader in the clubhouse at this point is Jon Rahm, who finished -4 for the day and sits -6 overall, one shot back of that five-way tie for first. Rahm made seven birdies and three bogeys.

Bryson From The Beach and Into the Solo Lead

Bryson DeChambeau almost chipped in for eagle from the bunker on No. 15, but had to settle for a second straight birdie to move one shot clear of the rest of the field.

He’s one stroke ahead of Jhonattan Vegas and Davis Riley who are tied for second, while Scottie Scheffler, Matthieu Pavon, Alex Noren, and Jon Rahm are tied for fourth.

At the Turn, Saturday Showcases A Stacked Leaderboard

The leaderboard is absolutely outstanding as the final groups make the turn at PGA Championship Round 3 and head to the back nine. Let’s take a a look at who’s in the mix.

At the very top, World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler still shares the lead after a -2 opening nine. He is tied with overnight leader Jhonattan Vegas, who recovered from back-to-back bogeys with a birdie on No. 7.

Also sharing the lead is a pair of LIV Golf stars. Jon Rahm birdied three straight holes on the back nine and heads to The Green Mile to finish his round. Bryson DeChambeau has four birdies and no bogeys to move to -7 after a birdie on No. 14.

Just behind those four leaders, Si Woo Kim and Davis Riley are one stroke off the lead while Matthieu Pavon, Matt Fitzpatrick, Michael Thorbjornsen, J.T. Poston, Alex Noren, Tony Finau and Joe Highsmith are all tied for seventh.

With 13 players within two shots of the lead, the final 27 holes of the PGA Championship definitely still holds plenty of drama ahead.

Scheffler Shares The Lead (4:10 PM)

With his third birdie in four holes, Scheffler has caught Si Woo Kim at the top of the leaderboard at the PGA Championship Round 3. Scheffler is -2 on the day and -7 for the tournament after making birdie on No. 7.

While he’s not in the hunt right now, Rory McIlroy is also adding some highlights to his reel like this crushed drive on No. 16:

Second Place Stack (3:14 PM)

While Si Woo Kim still holds the solo lead, big names are closing in just behind him.

With a birdie on No. 5, World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is just one shot off the lead. Bryson DeChambeau also joined the group in second with his second birdie in a row on No. 8 to get to -3 for the day.

Maverick McNealy has the best round of the day going at -5 through his first seven holes and has moved up to T7 but is about to take on the Green Mile since he started on the back nine. –Zach Thompson

New Solo Leader (3:00 PM)

It didn’t take long for things to change at the top of the leaderboard at the PGA Championship Round 3 on Saturday. Jhonattan Vegas teed off with a two-stroke lead on the field, but after back-to-back bogeys to start his round, he fell into a tie for second.

The new leader is Si Woo Kim, who made his first birdie of the day on No. 4

Kim is owned in only 3.4% of entries in the PGA $2.75M Fantasy Golf Millionaire for this week’s PGA Championship, but he is in more entries than Vegas, who was in only 0.77% of entries.

Scottie Within A Shot (2:51 PM)

Scottie Scheffler is within a shot of the four-way tie for the lead at the PGA Championship Round 3. He made a tap-in birdie after this impressive shot on No. 4 and is just one off the lead. –Zach Thompson

PGA Championship Round 3: Four-Way Tie At The Top (2:40 PM)

The leaders are off! And after just a couple of holes, we have an extremely crowded leaderboard.

Jhonattan Vegas started the day with the lead for the second round in a row, but he bogeyed the first two holes of the day to fall back into a tie for first. Matthieu Pavon and Matt Fitzpatrick are playing with Vegas and started with a pair of pars, and Si Woo Kim is also at even-par for the day in the four-way tie at -6 that currently leads the PGA Championship.

Tony Finau and Ryo Hisatsune are one stroke back at -5 while big names Scottie Scheffler and Max Homa are -4 and three shots off the lead.

Last week’s winner, Ryan Fox is also in that chase group two shots off the lead and ready for what should be a fascinating Saturday. — Zach Thompson
