The Nuggets and the Thunder continue their second round series with Game 6 in Denver on Thursday. Currently, the Thunder are leading this series 3-2 and they can advance to the Western Conference Finals with a win. Below, I dive into three of my favorite player prop bets for Thursday’s Game 6 between the Nuggets and the Thunder on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Best Nuggets vs. Thunder Player Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
Jalen Williams U 21.5 Points (-125)
This scoring line for Williams continues to be too high and he is a must-bet for this under in Game 6. Williams was named to his first All-Star team this season and averaged 21.6 PPG in the regular season, but he has had issues when facing the Nuggets. Williams has faced Denver 10 times this season and he is only averaging 18.6 PPG in those matchups. Notably, Williams has stayed under 21.5 points in seven of those 10 games.
The Nuggets have two strong wing defenders in Aaron Gordon and Christian Braun to bother Williams and when defended by either Gordon or Braun in this second round series, Williams is shooting a poor 32% from the field. In a hostile road environment in Denver tonight, it’s hard to imagine Williams improves and he should fall short of 21.5 points.
Aaron Gordon O 1.5 Made Three Pointers (-110)
Gordon has been very effective as a deep shooter against the Thunder in this series. Through the first five games, the forward is averaging 2.6 made three pointers on 5.4 attempts per game. This results in a 48.1% three point percentage and Gordon has hit multiple three pointers in all but one of these five games.
Gordon is handling a 18.6% usage rate this postseason and with the Nuggets facing elimination tonight, trailing this series 1-3, the veteran should approach 40 minutes barring foul trouble. On top of the heavy volume, this game being at home in Denver is a big boost for Gordon. The Arizona product is shooting 50% from beyond the arc at home this season – compare to 37% on the road – and Gordon is an excellent bet for over 1.5 made three pointers in this do-or-die Game 6.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander U 30.5 Points (-125)
Similar to Williams, Gilgeous-Alexander has struggled by his standards against the Nuggets this season, averaging 28.1 PPG in 10 matchups with Denver. Gilgeous-Alexander has especially struggled when facing the Nuggets on the road, scoring only 23.6 PPG in those five matchups in Denver. The guard didn’t score more than 28 points in any of those five games and another factor working against Gilgeous-Alexander is that the Thunder are at full strength.
In the 35 games that Oklahoma City has had their big three of Gilgeous-Alexander, Williams and Chet Holmgren active this season, Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 28.9 PPG. 30.5 points is just too high of a line for Gilgeous-Alexander tonight and he is a sharp bet for this under.
