Jamal Murray and the Nuggets will be fighting for their playoff lives on Thursday, as they trail the Thunder 3-2 in the series. He was originally listed as questionable for the game with an illness, but is good to go.
The Thunder are 5.5-point road favorites in this one with the total set at 216. Murray is coming off his best game of the series from a statistical standpoint in Game 5, dropping 28 points, four rebounds, three assists and a block. Denver will need a similar effort from him on Thursday to help them get the win and force a Game 7.
Below is my favorite Jamal Murray prop bet for Game 6.
Best Jamal Murray prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
DraftKings Sportsbook lists Murray’s prop lines at 19.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 2.5 three-pointers. His combined PTS + REB + AST line sits at 29.5.
Murray’s over 19.5 points seems like the no brainer bet for this game. With the season on the line, Jokic and Murray will undoubtedly get high usage rates in this one. Murray has gone over this total in three of the five games against OKC, and is averaging 21.4 points per game.
The part of Murray’s game that is struggling most in this series is his three-point shot. He went 3-of-13 (23.1%) in Game 5 and is shooting just over 34% in the series from downtown. In the regular season, he was a 39.3% three-point shooter, so things have gone backward in that department.
The good news is that Murray is putting up plenty of shots in this series. He’s averaging 17.2 shot attempts per game, including seven threes per game. With that kind of volume, it would be hard to imagine him not surpassing this total.
His usage rate has been 22.9% in this series, but I would expect it to increase tonight with what’s at stake in this win-or-go-home game.
Expect Murray to get up shots and hopefully get over the 19.5-point total for the fourth time in this series.
