The WNBA is nearly here, so it’s time to get those last-minute future bets. The 2025 season is expected to be an exciting one with the arrival of Paige Bueckers. The No. 1 overall pick is one of the brightest stars the league has seen in recent memory.
In addition to her WNBA debut, Caitlin Clark begins her second season after a standout rookie year. She’ll look to take the Fever to new heights in the 2025 campaign. Lastly, the Liberty are set to begin their WNBA championship defense after winning the franchise’s first title in history.

Best WNBA Player Bets for 2025 season
Paige Bueckers over 15.6 points per game (-115)
Paige Bueckers’ long-awaited WNBA arrival is here. The 2025 No. 1 pick has been heralded as a future superstar since high school. She’s more than accomplished that in college, but now it’s on to the professional ranks.
Yet again, she has high expectations heading into her rookie year. She’ll meet them and is my pick for the 2025 Rookie of the Year — bold, I know.
The Wings enter the 2025 season with five key acquisitions. NaLyssa Smith, DiJonai Carrington, Tyasha Harris, and Myisha Hines-Allen are joining the team alongside Bueckers. Each of the four veterans had solid seasons in 2024, but it’ll likely take some time to adjust in a new setting.
Arike Ogunbowale is the constant, proving year after year that she’s one of the best players in the league. She averaged 22.2 points per game last year, but that didn’t stop her teammates from also being great scorers.
Satou Sabally (15 games), Natasha Howard (27 games) and Odyssey Sims (nine games) each averaged at least 17 points per game last year. None of them returned to the roster in 2025, which opens the door for Bueckers.
She’ll play second fiddle to Ogunbowale, at least as a rookie, but she’ll still hit the over on her 15.6 points per game line. Ogunbowale will likely be the defense’s primary focus, which will give Bueckers some breathing.
Caitlin Clark averaged 19.2 points per game in her rookie season while being the top scoring option. Bueckers can average slightly fewer points on better efficiency as the second option.
Kelsey Plum under 20.7 points per game (+100)
Kelsey Plum will don a new jersey for the first time since her college days. The 2017 No. 1 pick was traded to the Los Angeles Sparks after spending all eight years with the Las Vegas Aces (and San Antonio Stars before relocation).
The Sparks had a pitiful 2024 season, but they have a brighter outlook heading into 2025. Cameron Brink is returning after suffering an ACL tear 15 games into her rookie season, Rickea Jackson enters her sophomore season and Dearica Hamby is back after a breakout campaign. All that plus Plum should produce more than eight wins in the regular season.
There’s a floor that this team should hit with the talent listed, but the development of Jackson and Brink, amid recovery, will be essential to how good the team can be. That should be the focus as they are the building blocks for a successful future.
Plum is a great addition and will likely be an All-Star for the fourth year in a row, but how much more growth does she have in her game? She’ll turn 31 this season and may not have another MVP-caliber season like in 2022. She averaged 20.2 points per game that year, her highest average of her career.
Averaging more than 20.7 points per game is extremely difficult in the WNBA. Only three players accomplished this in 2024, five in 2023 and one in 2022.
